Relais Il Cestello

The owners were very helpful and nice. Easy walk to everything. Good fresh continental breakfast.

I was made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was available, no decaf tea. Lots of bread products jams and fruit.(no bananas ever. No tissue boxes in the room so bring your own. Single room is very small doubles are a comfortable size. This area is no the trendy part of Florence.

We stayed in Relais Il Cestello for three nights. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is by the Arno river which is within 10 minutes walking to Ponte Vecchio and 20 minutes to the Duomo. There is a nearby indoor parking across the river and it takes about 5 minutes walking to get there. Overall we are satisfied with our stays in there.

It was a nice hotel which is like a an upgraded bed and breakfast. Only 8 to 10 rooms in this family owned hotel. Within walking distance from train station and central Florence.

Friendly and helpful staff, and a room with real character. Great location. However, our room had the next room's bathroom jutting into it, such that we could hear everything going on in that bathroom. The gluten free options at breakfast were also not adequate - it would be simple to make some gluten free bread available (there is a great bakery in town). Pillows were also very flat.
