Best Western Buckingham Hotel

If you're a light sleeper stay away. I can't believe there's only one review that mentions this problem (10th Feb 2020) I stayed in room 19 and all through the night everytime a cold water tap was used, a toilet flushed or a shower turned on there was the loudest droning noise from the water pump in the roof area and I was amazed at how much it went off. The first night I checked in at 2am and was up and out by 7am so didn't complain. The second night I was in my room for 8.30pm and the noise was over and over and over. I was trying to watch TV. By 9pm I couldn't take anymore so asked to change rooms. When I told the hotel staff I had to change room due to the noise he simply said 'yes, no problem'. A clear sign this is common, he didn't even ask what the noise was like I was moved downstairs to room 44 and although not as loud and bearable I could still hear it!! In room 19 the room was spotless but the sheet in room 44 had wine stains all over it (Im telling myself it was wine), it had been washed but still not nice. Restaurant was ok and the staff excellent but wouldn't stay again due to THAT noise.

A non-descript hotel which feels like a Travelodge at a motorway service station. Despite the hotel being far from full, they could not offer us adjoining rooms. My room clearly had not been thoroughly cleaned, despite the alleged introduction of COVID-19 cleaning protocols. I spotted a champagne cork on the floor under a shelf in the 'wardrobe' and usb charger plug left behind by a prior guest under the bedside shelf. Because our daughter is now in school in the area, we are going to be staying in or around Buckingham often. This hotel is going to be on our list of where not to stay unless nowhere else is available.

This hotel Is comfortable, clean and well run and is making an excellent attempt at handling the current COVID-19 situation - whilst this creates certain restrictions and limitations the hotel is friendly and eager to fix any issues - we had a good stay

The hotel is more than adequate and was very comfortable if a little soulless in these Covid days! As a transit room it was ok at the price

Friendly, polite and helpful staff, the hotel was spotlessly clean and beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel overall is great, I can’t fault the staff or the condition of the hotel. However, sign on the check in desk demands a £50 deposit to check in to cover damages to rooms, even though they already have your card details on file! You’re told that the deposit will be released when you check out, I’m still waiting for it back. This is not mentioned at the time of booking. It makes you feel uncomfortable and untrusted, it’s what you’d expect from a Blackpool B&B not a global hotel brand. I usually add on breakfasts and spend money of a few drinks in the bar, didn’t bother this time though. If you’re looking at everyone under a cloud of suspicion from the moment they enter the hotel don’t expect me to spend money in your bar or restaurant

Very practical and the pool was a nice way to relax before going out for the evening. Breakfast was a little sparse but again served its purpose. Beds were very comfortable and check in/out were smoth.
