Residence Inn Norfolk Downtown

It was a good location. The staff members are very nice and accommodating. I love that it’s pet friendly. The COVID breakfast not for me. The inability to grab a cup of lobby coffee to go was very inconvenient. The coffee pot in the room needs to be replaced. I had to clean the plate and I took off lots of old black coffee. It would be nice to have a one cup coffee maker. The bed was comfortable But the sofa was stained and not so pretty. Glad there was parking but the city of Norfolk should do a better job maintaining the garage. It was nasty and dirty. All in all it was very good stay and great value for the price. But, please update the coffeemakers.

This hotel was a disappointing. As soon as we walked into the elevator it was dirty. Our room furnishings were worn and dirty especially the couch and sofas. We stayed for 3 nights and I requested to have the room cleaned and didn't happen also requested clean towels never were brought up horrible customer service

Overall decent but not for what they charge . I understand Covid -19 is happening but they shouldn’t promote breakfast when all we got was a mini muffin and yogurt in a brown bag.

A couple things to note about this stay. Due to booking through Expedia parking was not factored in which is $18 a night. Also due to COVID rooms are not cleaned at all during stay, we had to request for things that were supposed to be in room like iron, ironing board and coffee maker. We also had to replace the blow dryer because it sounded terrible and was dirty too. We called to get more toilet paper too since we were there a week. Every time they were quick to bring the items. Also due to COVID the pool was closed which was disappointing as well as breakfast as stated. They did provide takeaway items such as yogurt, fruit, muffin, water bottle or juice. For such an expensive hotel it would have been nice to either have parking waived or reduction in price or other ways to make this time feel worth it. I wished I would of just got an AirBnB this time.

Check in was wonderful. Had a suite which could have been cleaner during this time of COVID. Couch cushions smelled like urine. Curtains had food stains on them. Sheets for fold-out couch not supplied and had to request them, as well as sufficient sets of towels for registered guests. No coffeemaker in suite. No coffee available in lobby. Little to no mask enforcement. Floor was quiet. Location was great.

Parking is $28 per day. This was not listed on our reservation. The first room we were given reeked of cigarettes. Took 45 minutes to get a new room. We used stair case slot because covid. Stair case was always filthy. People wrre not made to wear masks even though it was posted. Not all workers wore them either. Room on highway side was noisy due to traffic.

Great location! Rooms was clean and homey, receptionist was very polite and helpful. Many things to do from museum to Battle ships, Chinese gardens. Breakfast sucked though, and carpet had urine stains in the carpets. Overall a good hotel.

Due to the pandemic service was to a minimum. Everything thing else was fine. Parking is too expensive $18 taken from incidentals. No guest parking.

Garbage stays in the hallway way too long. The shower was dirty. The hotel has potential for the price point. Friendly front desk. Perfect downtown location.

Outside looks beautiful but not in a great neighborhood and the hotel was filthy. Ended up cancelling my reservation and leaving
