Dewa Phuket Resort & Villas

Fantastic stay

Dewa Phuket was the perfect place to stay for a quiet relaxing holiday, away from the crowds but still accessible to food, beach and amenities. Its not a luxury 5 star resort but it was more than enough for us. We stayed in the Grand pool villa and had a fantastic time. The bed was firm but provide excellent sleep, the pool was well used especially after a day out in the humidity. The only downside of having the outdoor shower and bathroom/ toilet facilities was being attacked by the mosquitoes which seemed to love me. Lighting the mosquito coils when we are in the villa helped tremendously. Including insect repellant too for me. The mosquitoes didnt seemed to like my husband as much as me. The staff were amazing, polite and accommodating. Dewa is located near the airport which means less travelling time to and fro the airport and cheaper. There a local market 3x/week within 10minutes walk away for super cheap fruits, fresh local food etc. There is also a tourist strip of convenience store, massage place, restaurants, road side food stalls and chemist about 10 minutes walk along the beachside road/ beach. Nai Yang town is a 5 minutes drive where you can get almost everything. We rental a car from Nai Yang town and they dropped the car at the resort. We loved Dewa so much that we came back to stay for 2 more days to wind down after we travelled to Chiang Mai before our flight home.

Reliable resort on a beautiful bay

Comfortable GrandPool Villa stay. Main pools well maintained and uncrowned. Friendly helpful staff sorted transfers and helped locate test centers. Breakfast variety reasonable but not quite the range of a few years ago.

Disappointing stay. Good location for airport.

This hotel was a bit of a let down. At check in they seemed quite confused over the Thailand rules about travel/quarantine and trying to have us quarantine again. Eventually this was figured out but it was a challenge to explain. Additionally they could not provide any help with locations to get our PCR to leave Thailand. Lastly at check out they told me they couldn’t print my results as they couldn’t figure out how to get an email (after asking more a supervision came to help and did this successfully). For a 5 star hotel this was quite frustrating. The hotel was nice enough however not deserving of 5 stars. Easy location (7 min from airport) and close to the beach. Seems they are still bouncing back after covid restrictions have loosened which is understandable. I wouldn’t choose to stay here long term but it was convenient for the night before we flew out.

Good food but musty rooms

The restaurant and service was excellent. The food was good and all meals were discounted. Check in and reception was fast but could be friendlier. My room (deluxe) was damp and musty with little light. I felt congested and the lights and air con stopped working, most likely due to water. I wanted to try this hotel again but won't return due to musty rooms.
