Homewood Suites by Hilton Jacksonville Downtown-Southbank

Room was a bit small for a suite but also had a smell.

The hotel is pristine. Very clean and inviting. The beds and pillows are NOT comfortable, unfortunately. We could not sleep between the noise of the trains and the constant noise of the elevator as our room was RIGHT behind the elevator system. The breakfast was not available at 7 AM as advertised. We had to leave prior to 8 am and almost left without having any food. The selection was Ok, not great. There were a lot of cold foods rather than hot. Beside from this the amenities are good and kept clean.

Hard to get used to covid 19 adjustments. Used to having fresh toweks delivered, garbage emptied and beds made when we returned to room. Would we stay there again...most definitely

When checking in we had to wait almost 30 in line to check in....... The sheets was not clean look like blood on the sheets not sure and on the head board of the bed the frig was not clean.... soon arriving it was hair in our bath room on the toilet and sink

Super loud....(other guest). Had to move from first room (which also smelled like fish) to another because of the party going on across the hall. They upgraded us which was great. But my husband was in a room that could still hear all of the commotion in the hall. People playing loud music, screaming until 4 in the morning. I know it's the other guests that are the issue but the hotel needs to maintain some quiet hours or have some consequences

Convenient parking garage, very friendly staff from the breakfast bar to the front desk and management team. Had an issue with my toilet and someone from maintenance was sent up immediately to repair it. This hotel had huge rooms perfect for families! COVID-19 safety measures were top-notch!

Overall, our experience was good. Hair left in a drawer with the hairdryer was a little disconcerting. Made me question how adequate was the “sanitizing” during this COVID-19 world we are now living in. TV remote didn’t work except to turn TV on-couldn’t change channel. I didn’t report it r/t only there for an overnight stay and didn’t really need the TV. I’d stay there again.

The room we had was very nice. It fits our family needs. We love the location, it’s close to dining and night cocktails. The area is less traffic, and quiet, although the train horns every minute. But it is not as obnoxious as the city trains. We enjoyed our stay! However, just so you know, there is a $9.99 parking fee every night!!!

Fruit flies every where!
