Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel by Wyndham Windsor

I have stayed at this property many times, both pre and post renovation, and it has improved. The staff are always very courteous and helpful. Even amid COVID, they still did there best to provide a pre-packed take away breakfast which was more than the other hotels I recently stayed at in the same city. The only thing I would reccomend is to steam clean the chairs in the rooms.

Check in was good, location was good, unfortunately there was no breakfast in the morning, our room had a slight hint of cigarette smoke (even though it was smoke free room) and our smoke detector had a plastic bag over it. The neighbours kept going in and out all night and slamming their door closed which kept me up most of the night.

The hotel rooms could have been cleaner. The staff was lovely though. There was an incident involving someone spraying bear mace outside our hotel room door, though hotel staff did move us to another room at the other end of the building.

Although the hotel itself was clean, we had to wait at the front desk for 10 minutes before anyone came to serve us. The room was small, but everything inside was clean. Neighbouring guests were loud and we again had to wait before anyone came to the desk so that we could check out. All in all I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Comfortable bed and nice decorate room. Room smelled very bad , dirty carpet, bathroom,mini refrigerator. Entonces doors and windows very nasty, hallway smelled like smoke.

Decent stay for the price. Beds are super small and the amount of noise from the rooms on each side of us at 2 and 3 am was out of this world. Made sleeping extremely difficult.

If you want to stay in a place that smells like something died and having the cops bust in your neighboring room then this is the place for you! If you like gum stained crapets and no sheets on your bed then book your stay today! Room also includes broken appliances at no extra cost!

The hotel is currently housing homelss, the displaced and drug addicts. The caliber and quantity of the "guests" were cery sketchy, dirty and suspect. Our mountain bike ( although locked) was stolen off our car, non-guests were being let in the locked side doors, drugs were being sold and picked up in the parking lot and the sex workers were trolling around both the corridors and outside in the large vacant lots. Rooms were quite dirty, not well maintained and smelled musty with lots of air freshener. Will not recommend to any travellers/ visitors to Windsor. Very disappointed.

Great and safe stay. Second time we have stayed here. Definitely will stay again. Looking forward to coming back in the future
