Brown's Boutique Hotel

This hotel was a great spot to stay! Located in a great area with plenty of food options nearby. It is about a 5-10min walk to Barrio Alto- which is the lively, young spot to hang out with lots of bars and restaurants. Area doesn't feel super touristy, as it is removed from the main walking/shopping area, which was nice. The room itself was clean and very well put together. Loved the feel of the room- window overlooking the street, nice art work hanging, a Nespresso maker and a very comfortable bed! Hotel has the boutique feel which I also love during traveling. Would stay here again for sure. Only downside was that our room wasn't ready until after 3pm- we hadn't slept in over 24h because of our flight, so that was rough, but the hotel was very nice about the wait.

Hotel was very central with loads of restaurants within easy walking distance. Lovely comfortable lounge for a drink before or after going out. Good sized rooms (102), with a large bed. Friendly staff. Excellent stay!

Excellent location with attentive hotel staff. Superior room was spacious and well-furnished with very comfortable bed. Bountiful and delicious breakfast. Hotel lobby is actually a restaurant. The outside sign for the hotel is barely noticeable, so the hotel is difficult to identify. Great place to stay in Lisbon.

We booked a small room with a street view and boy, was the room small! The shower cubicle and the toilet cubicle were both in the room and both were compact and bijou. The shower cubicle leaked as the seal wasn't great and this had obviously had an effect on the rug by the bed which, quite frankly, was filthy We did report the shower seal to reception and it was mainly repaired. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable, the black out blinds and soundproofing were great and the hotel was perfectly situated for the metro and sights and attraction, restaurants in Lisbon. Breakfast was also very good, a big plus being the coffee made to order. Staff were generally very nice and helpful. I did have a quibble with reception as I had enquired by e-mail whether I could pay with a different credit card to the one I made the booking with and was assured that would be no problem. When I arrived I found the money had been taken off the original credit card. I was told this could not be changed. The two other hotels in Lisbon and Porto had no problem with this at all. If you stay here, make sure you book a bigger room.

This hotel was the most wonderful place we have ever stayed in all of our travels. The staff was all absolutely outstanding, but Nuno, Joanna and Tiago treated us especially well, and made our stay all the more lovely and special. We were on our honeymoon the second time around (as seniors who had lost both of our spouses) and we were made to feel like we were in our 20's and not our 60's and 70's! We cannot say enough about the gorgeous room, the central location on a quiet street of restaurants and shops and no traffic. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a memorable and perfect stay in the beautiful city of Lisbon.
