Embassy Suites Birmingham/Hoover

We arrived around 10pm after driving 12 hours with three young kids only to be told they'd oversold. They had another room ready for us but it was a king with a sofa bed. Frustrated but agreeable - then told they can't issue a key and override what was booked without the manager and he was at Walmart!!! We ended up waiting close to 30 minutes. Parking was AWFUL then when we got to our room there were no sheets for sofa bed and no one answering the front desk so we had to go back down and get them. They did offer us something free from the little shop for the inconvenience but it just wasn't enough. We were WAY too tired to wait that long

Embassy never disappoints. While other chains we have visited recently have reduced or eliminated services due to Covid-19, Embassy managed to provide all the expected amenities, including welcome reception each evening and the made-to-order breakfast. Thank you, Embassy!

The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

A couple of things in the room were broken and the sink was clogged.

I booked the suite on hotels.com and they accommodations listed on the room that I purchased did NOT match the room provided. I went to the front desk to complain and was blown off by being told they the description provided by hotels.com does NOT guarantee the accommodations provided by the hotel. What exactly is the point if the room I booked based on the accommodations listed on the app do not match. The staff refused to upgrade my room to meet the hotels.com description. I’m extremely displeased with the service.

Nice, clean hotel. staff was nice. Room was bog and Clean.

My stay here was very bad it was so loud and my room smelled like cigarettes my shower didn’t get hot! I was disappointed!

Excellent room, nightly manger reception and great breakfast buffet with made to order omlets.

It was good from the beginning. The front desk clerk was very nice. The room was very clean and neat. The breakfast was delish. I will be back. 10 out of 10.

Everything was great my only big negative was that some of the staff did not wear their mask. The couch was hard in the living space and the bed pillows where not very comfortable.
