The room was recently renovated. The location was excellent. The staff were great. Could not find a thermostat in the room though.

The hotel is older, but the location and value are great! Right in downtown Canmore and within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Room was clean, and the free upgrade to a creek side room was a nice touch. Needed a place to rest after a long strenuous hike, and this was perfect. I would stay here again.

I appreciated the lady who received my phone call and she tried her best to rebook my reservation. But the gentleman who served us checked in didn't guide us any, simply took my credit card and provide a room key. The room inside has no cups, the coffee cooker missing pot, no coffee and tea bags. I reserved is one bed in the room, which we checked in still is two beds.

We needed a place to sleep before an early morning hike. But we didn't really get to sleep. There was no one in the office when we arrived before 9pm, so we couldn't discuss the room location. We were above the pub patio so the windows had to stay closed to block the noise but unfortunately the fridge in our room made more noise than the patrons. The room is definitely in need of some help. The bed support boards could take out your ankles and the curtain support was only half attached to the wall. On the plus side, at check out when I mentioned the noise they gave me a small discount for our inconvenience. It would have been much better to stay on the side that overlooks the creek.

It was just ok. The good: we had a great view of the mountains and the little lake next door. The location close to town is great. Mattresses were comfortable. Rocky Mountain soap company toiletries! The bad: furniture had clear signs of wear and tear. The sink was chipped and kinda gross. The ugly: dirt accumulated in the corners of the bathroom. The carpet must not have been put down properly because there were pokey bits in some spots.

Nice room, but no AC so had to open the sliding doors to cool off, nut no screen on the windows and groups of teenagers partying in the street below made for a hot, noisy night.
