Hakone Hotel

Staff were very helpful with our baggage when we arrived and even as we depart. They are helpful in providing information around the area. The room was a little too warm in the afternoon and there wasn't a faster way to cool it down, but it encouraged us to proceed with our outdoor plans quickly.

Fabulous 4th floor room. Perfect view of Mt Fuji. Very large by Japanese standards. Great onsen. Wonderful facilities wish I was there again

Amazing views, comfortable bed, clean. Restaurant options limited and overpriced. Quite location away from main tourist spots. Enjoyed our stay.

Very expensive for such a dated hotel. I would not recommend this hotel.

Wonderful view!

Meals in the hotels were expensive and there were no nearby alternatives It was a Monday night). The hotel is well situated with all rooms overlooking Lake Ashi. The bus terminus is next door making it very convenient for arrival and departure.

This hotel is a pretty decent hotel located at Hakone with free parking and excellent paid breakfast. Great view of the lake too. When I made the booking via Expedia, I wasn’t expecting that we had to pay additional local tax of JPY150 per person per night. Would be good to have this called out to your booking guests ahead of time for any extra charges required

Expensive but we did enjoy our two night stay as our one day turned out to be sunny and not too hot. The view was wonderful Not too many places open to eat in the evening but we did find the hotel bar happy hour to be good with good food. One problem was only one key which made it difficult one going to the male baths and the other going to the female baths. Easy solution - two keys.
