Old fashion, ok food, clean rooms, friendly staff

Clean rooms, ok dinner but boring with the same small meny everyday. Did not like the breakfast, no lattemachine, scrambeled eggs from powder and extremely dry bread. The hotel lounge is nice and cozy, but they played horrible music( heavyrock) and I had to ask them to change. The staff should really try to make people spend time i the lounge aerea because there were hardly any people there after 8 PM even though the hotel had a lot of guests. We are a little disapointed.

Great hotel for couples

Stayed for a weekend, very satisfied. + Easy, free parking + Super fast and hassle free check-in + Clean spacious room + Great spa and pool area + Activities (ski rental, bowling etc.) - poor selection of the channels

Wonderful!!

What a wonderfully charming old hotel. We spent some time wandering the hotel and checking out all the nooks and crannies. We enjoyed the inviting lobby with the crackling fireplace. The staff was very friendly and helpful both at checking in and out. The facility was very clean and the room had all the necessities. We highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful historic place to stay. Absolutely wonderful breakfast buffet. Made good use of the indoor swimming pool.

Not happy

Disinterested staff. Huge old hotel that was previously a respiratory sanirtarium. Has a lot of character but is in need of freshening up. Our twin bedroom looked like a monastery. Sterile sparsely furnished with one small picture although the hotel has a plethora of old, unintretesting art. Curtains allowed the summer sunshibe to come in. Needs a blackout drape. Shampoo and creme rinse in room but only liquid bath soap in dispenser. No coffee maker. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent. We ate at Sohphia's Cafe. Another mediocre experience. Filled our stomachs but unsatisfying food. I really was excited to stay in this old hotel, but it really disappointed me. I'm calling it as I see it.

A lovely property with very friendly staff. The location is quite beautiful! We were there in June and the town itself is a bit slow, which was to our liking, but if you want a vibrant “scene” June is not the month! Love the history of the place as well.
