Hyatt Place Des Moines Downtwn

I loved staying at the Hyatt, for being downtown it’s one of the nicest and cheapest ones to get, and it’s beautiful! My boyfriend and I had a great stay and would definitely stay there again in the future!

I was expecting much better from a Hyatt. Had to park on the street or pay $18. The shower went back and forth from hot to cold. Long strands of hair were on the shower wall - many. We were told there was a complimentary grab and go that turned out to be a $5 grab and go. I would not stay there again.

The room was great and the staff were friendly. My concern was that it appeared to my wife and I that the cleaning of public spaces was minimal at best. There were used Q-tips on the hall floor all three days we stayed there. Given the pandemic conditions in the region at the time of our stay, we expected cleaning practices and didn't see any evidence of cleaning in the public spaces. That was unacceptable.

They share parking with a lot of private property owners. The poor counter clerk has to run across the street at the most inopportune times to let people in, and out. If they notice them at all while being busy with guests. The clerk was friendly and tried his best but he was doing a lot of running and apologizing. Also if the elevators in the parking lot require a badge to move, why did it let me in. I was in there with no way to get out because a fob is needed to activate it. Luckly someone else used it and it moved within the five minutes it took me to realize I wasnt going anywhere. Very frustrated getting in, and out.

I booked here before had no problems. This time no water pressure, no soap at the sink And someone brought their large BARKING dog. Disappointed.

Clean hotel, no soap in bathroom. Tried to tell us the room we booked was no longer available but was able to get what we paid for. Would pick a different hotel next time. Parking price is outrageous.

there was no soap in all 3 of thr rooms i rented and only decaf coffee. small breakfast was NOT. but same price!!

The elevator broke down. They don't have stairs to go up to the rooms, only down. I had to wait in the lobby while they fixed the elevator, and no compensatory anything from the staff.

Nice stay. Everything was excellent. Staffs were sk professional and helping

It was a very amazing place.clean and i recommended any people to stay here
