Room is clean and comfortable and walking distance to city centre. Ultra modern. No tea or coffee in room due to Covid restrictions.

Great modern hotel

I've stayed in citizen a few times over the last year and it seems to have slightly gone down in my expectations, I used to love staying here but the last few times have been a bit of a let down wether it be issues with the TV or just noise levels. I stayed on a Tuesday night so thought it would be quiet enough but the person in the room across from me was playing music until about 4 am. I don't want to sound like a grump as I know the hotel industry has suffered a lot due to covid but it would have been nice for the rooms to be spread out a little more across the floors as it seems like we were grouped together on the floors from what I gathered noise wise. All the staff I spoke to were fantastic and the bed was as good as always!

The hotel itself is lovely! Very modern and clean! The staff was very helpful and friendly..self check in took a wee while longer than expected but now that ive done it i will know what to do next time.hand sanitiser was available throughout and social distancing in place. 2 people allowed in lifts-but if theres a few people waiting you will be quicker taking the stairs. The room was lovely..very compact but for an overnight it was fine. Bed was massive and so comfy, we phoned for extra pillows and a staff member was up within 5 minutes with them in a big bag so u knew no one else has touched them. The iPad to control the room is simple enough to use so if your not very technical dont let this put you off.. ours crashed a few times but a quick system restart and all was ok within 10 seconds. The bathroom/shower is frosted glass which wasn't a problem for us as a couple but if your travelling with friends then it might be.. my own 2 cons i would say was the table wasn't very big in the room.. it was more like a smaller breakfast bar. The bar is closed in the hotel for now (to be expected) however drinks are brought up to your room. i phoned down for a few drinks but was told the wine i wanted wasn't available by glass even though it said on the Ipad. The staff member apologised and said due to covid they were running on a limited menu which understandable but i feel like the menu then needs updating as this is not going away anytime soon. Overall enjoyed our stay! Will be back

Staff where very helpful, check in went smooth comfy bed

Extremely comfortable, slept straight through every night. Very convenient for city centre. Lovely room for a few nights but perhaps a little small if traveling for longer with lots of luggage.

This is my 4/5th stay now wouldn’t choose any other hotel! Staff are always so friendly and helpful and rooms are always so clean! I love the colours of the room and how you can choose new films to watch instead of freeview! I wish there were more music channels haha, so in all, a happy customer again :)

Place was brilliant all mod cons apart from kettle for tea or coffee only let down. Apart from that stay was brilliant 😃 would stay again . Covid in operation wear masks in and around hotel very clean and all areas cleaned hourly which is good to see making you more at ease in these times thumbs up.....

Initially we had trouble with the iPad controlling our room which wasn't charging and was almost dead, but they switched our room while we were upstairs so that we could go straight there and didn't have to drag all our stuff back down to reception. The bed was super comfy and the stay was amazing, although we did have some problems with incredibly noisy neighbours having an argument the first night. The hotel bar staff are super friendly and make great cocktails. I really enjoyed my stay, this was our second visit and I'm definitely coming back. CitizenM for life.
