Ok but not great

Temperature was very cold upon arriving and it took hours to get warmer. The shampoo on the wall was new and the top was very hard to open. There were only two bath towels. There was no lotion.

Compeition 2021

We came to town for a competition. The hotel was sufficiently nice. Help is hard to find, but the front office clerk was....less than engaging would be the most clear description. Nonetheless, the stay was delightful and i loved having the bistro downstairs.

It has improved a lot since my first couple of visits. The Bistro manager and the front desk staff were great. The new Bistro menu is much nicer. Maintenance could be a bit better.

Not what I expected

The bathroom door would not shut with out forcing the door, it scraped on the tile floor. The shower door opened in insted of out allowing one foot of space to squeze through to get in. The shower had mildew in all the seems and the toilet moved when you sat on it. There was no breakfast in the morning and the bar never opened due to no staff

The first room they put me in flooded while i was showering. The slope for the drain was too high and the bathroom flooded with 3 inches of water. They said they were aware of the problem and i shouldnt have been put in that room. Spent the entire morning trying to get water to the drain. They put me in a different room but refused to adjust the amount i paid for my troubles. New room was very nice. Every staff memeber was rude at every level. When i was trying to check in, i was interrupting the clerks personal cell phone call she was having so i had to stand there and wait until she finished. When i packed all my belongings to get out if the flooded room and go down to the desk clerk, which was a different girl, i was interrupting her breakfast she was having in the breakfast area. I stood there and had to wait until she was finished eating before she came to help me at the desk. Both times when different desk clerks gave me room keys thwy just set it on the counter and walked away without saying a word. After following both people i had to ask if i was good to go and they stared at me. Very very unprofessional staff, very rude, very impersonal. I loved the 2nd room but the staff made my stay terrible. I didnt know if breakfast was free or not, no one would say anything after i asked, they just stared at me. No food was out so i assumed it wasnt.

First time I ever had to buy my own toiletries

After traveling for 12 hours we picked this hotel due to its convenient location. Upon arrival, we had to wait 5 minutes for the person at the front deck to finish their call. We check in and get to the room hoping to shower and there is no soap or shampoo. My wife goes to the front desk and asks for these items and is told they’re out. This is a Marriott property, I never heard of such a thing in all of my 25 years of traveling. No solution to the problem, just a basic oh well attitude. I get back in my car and drive to Target to by us soap and shampoo so we can shower. I’m not sure why someone at the hotel couldn’t have done this for the guest. Worst service ever and embarrassing for this hotel and Marriott!
