Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Austin San Marcos

Not the best experience

First, they had overbooked and so we were down graded from a King Suite to a regular king…at the same price. Once we got to the hotel, we had to wait at the front desk for over 5 minutes for someone to check us in. The pillows were like rocks. But at least the coffee was good.

Pleasant & Comfortable

Checking in after a late flight and losing one of our luggage made everything at ease when coming into contact with Kawaika.Kawika who checked us in was super accommodating, was very helpful, and very nice. The room itself was clean, spacious, and up to date. The beds was super comfortable after flying a long flight and a achy body. The only thing is our coffee machine didn’t have the insert to put the coffee filter and coffee in it.. So we just made hot water . But we could get good coffee downstairs with our free breakfast. Breakfast was good! Decent for if you need to be somewhere and need a quick bite to eat . There was scrambled eggs, bacon, waffle station, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, English muffins, toast, yogurt. On another day there was a egg omelette & breakfast sausage. My family loved breakfast and how convenient it was. I would definitely come back to stay here again!

A WELCOMING PLACE

Some variety at breakfast would have been nice, especially potatoes or biscuits and gravy. Also, the room felt damp, the bedding and towels. Maybe a dehumidifier would be helpful. The bathtub was a little slippery, scary for a senior citizen. But the service was wonderful, the beds so comfortable, and every area was squeaky clean. Id definitely stay there again.

Great value

Had to make an unexpected stay in San Marcos. Just picked the spot for its proximity to where I needed to Ben. Super clean, comfortable and I will stay there the next time I am in town.

Safety risks

Someone walked into our room. They were given a key by the front desk. True safety issue. Nothing was done to compensate me for the intrusion or major safety risk. Never staying there again. This was my second stay at this hotel!

Very clean, staffs are friendly, continental breakfast by far the best I've experienced. Will definitely recommend this hotel and will come back if we're to go around this area.
