La Terraza de San Juan

The room itself was cavernous and private. It appeared slightly neglected. At first it seemed like a romantically lit, secluded chamber. But at 3:30 in the morning, we could still hear our neighbors next door. Not the quiet place we thought it would be.

The room was spacious, with a kitchenette. Staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and makes excellent coffee! They also sell the coffee by the bag, I recommend getting one. What could be improved is the daily service - it comes late in the afternoon (and one day did not come at all).

The day time reception staff was helpful and friendly. There was never any hot water to take a shower. The owner installed a Solar Panel System that performs poorly. Apparently, the owner has no intentions to replace.the present system.

The good and bad.

Friendly staff, comfy bed, good $3.00 small cup of coffee, very good Wi-Fi, elevator was extremely slow and couldn’t get from second floor to the roof. Roof bar never open. Only a vending machine! Pool is 8’ by 12’ at best. Good view. Don’t get a no window room. Good location.

The personnel is super nice and the hotel is well-located. The swimming pool is tiny, tho and the bar in the rooftop was closed all the time

Location!!!! Great area in Old San Juan. Ute boutique hotel. The infinity pool on the roof was wonderful. They are doing some fixing up on the place. So things like the bars in side were not open. They were fixing the air and ours never came back on, so they upgraded us to a new room. They were quick to accommodate. I would stay there again when in town.

Great location. Stayed in the King Balcony suite. Had a great view, good AC, cleaning staff did a good job. Would recommend to other travelers.

The property is an older property with out dated amenities. The bathroom shower had a broken faucet and the water temp could not be controlled…there was also a lot of lime and mold apparent. The full kitchen looked nice but there was only one spoon, a broken dishwasher and housekeeping had to be told to clean the kitchen. Housekeeping never swept or mopped the floors. The balcony was rusted and pieces fell off of the railing as we stood on it.
