Little Gem

This was a beautiful old style hotel, the rooms were basic, but spotlessly clean. It had a beautiful clean swimming pool. We ate in the restaurant, it was fabulous, all local produce freshly prepared. The staff spoke English. They were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was again fresh and plentiful. Can't wait to return.

Good hotel

Great place to stay if you are walking in the area. Spacious rooms. Restaurant is fancier than we thought for the hotel but very good.

Improper...

Rude manager, bad quality beds, room would need to get a refit. Inadequate ratio price/quality. Don’t trust the swimming pool picture: the pool is not pleasant at all. The whole hotel looks like a US motel. Beautiful landscape though.

Great overnight stop

We are family of 3 with small dog. We stayed for an overnight stop on our way to Spain. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately we didn’t experience the restaurant or spa facilities. On arrival the owner was friendly and pleasant. We could have stayed longer to explore the local area. The only downside was there was not a good telephone reception, but in the end it didn’t matter too much for one night.

Perfect for a lazy stay in a beautiful area

This was our second stay at Auberge de Val Moureze as we'd enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and friendly service so much the first time. It is a well-run and cared for auberge that provides a quiet, stylish, comfortable base to explore the very pretty Hérault area - or to simply soak in the atmosphere, admire the views and relax by the pool. We may return again in the future...

Looks like a motel type environment but very comfortable bed and beautiful new bathrooms. The Manager/owner is in the process of an almost completed refurbishment and his high standards show. The pool area and sun beds are excellent. Very quiet and peaceful. The restaurant was a bit disappointing in terms of choice but all staff were friendly and we could not fault the customer service attitude. You need to approach from Clement l'heurant as our sat nav took us on a very circuitous route! Whist there is no mobile phone signal there is excellent wifi and all international calls are free from your bedroom phone and anyone can phone directly to that phone.

comfortable overnight

Very pleasant Auberge. Everything we needed, quiet, good pool, lovely food, ( pud a bit disappointing ). comfortable room. reasonable price. Breakfast not up to much. Will stay again if nearby.

Lovely auberge in a peaceful setting

We really enjoyed our short stay at Auberge de Val Moureze and would thoroughly recommend it. The property is in a lovely quiet spot and is well laid-out. Our chalet style room was stylish enough, was comfortable and clean and the patio provided a perfect place to sit and enjoy the peaceful setting. It's a family run auberge and the owner Jean-Pierre made us feel very welcome and was on-hand to deal with any issues. The pool area was well maintained and the onsite restaurant also served as a wine bar which helped give the place a civilised atmosphere in the evening. Moureze itself is a lovely village and the Dolomitic rock formations in the surrounding area make for interesting short hikes.

Escroquerie

Compte tenu des images alléchantes des chambres sur le net, j'ai réservé deux nuitées pour 167 €. Avec mon épouse nous avons dormi dans un placard à balai : un lit de 160 cm dans un espace où les clients corpulents ne peuvent se mouvoir, surtout dans la soi-disant salle d'eau si restreinte que le cuvette wc est presque collée au lavabo et au mur. C'est de l'escroquerie. Il est inadmissible que le client soit floué ainsi.
