Recommended!

Nice hotel in a quiet area yet close to shops and restaurants (10min walk up and down a steep hill or a few minute drive). The hotel itself is nice and cozy. We had quite a standard sized room with a small balcony. Great amount of closet space, bathroom on the smaller size but good enough. Loved the breakfast!!! The hotel doesnt have a restaurant anymore but they do have a bar (food not recommended). They also have a sauna which is set to the standard of 80 degrees, but is actually only 60 degrees and you cannot throw water on the rocks because they are not hot enough. You might as well avoid the sauna. Nice hiking nearby. Service was absolutely wonderful. Would definitely stay again because the value is great!

Good location, good parking, restaurant closed on our one night stay but they prepared pizzas for us, good view from the better rooms, friendly owners one Dutch, one Scottish, Want to return some time for a longer stay.

A little dated

Staff are really helpful and the breakfast is good. The rooms are tidy but a bit 1980's in furnishing plus the walls are paper thin so when somebody gets up early a few doors down you hear the shower being switched on and running. Unable to connect to the wi-fi on any device throughout my 3 day stay was disappointing. On the Expedia website it is advertised as Hotel Restaurant Landhaus Sonnenhof however the hotel is now effectively a bed and breakfast as the restaurant is not open on an evening, fortunately there are places to eat in Adenau about half a mile back down the road.

Nice hotel in a natural setting

The room was clean, but some what small, and the beds were very small. Having said that it met all the basic needs. The strong point was its setting at the top of the hill with great views. It also had several pleasant outdoor areas and a short nature walk. The negative was that they refused to give us a second key for the room, and a key was required to lock the door from the inside.

Hotel Restaurant Landhaus Sonnenhof

Great location, food was excellent. Very quiet and relaxing. 10 min to the Nürburgring, if you want to try the Nordschleife.

Beautiful View.

View of Nordschleife hillside, Alive with bird song. Noisy Black Birds. Sumptuous breakfast. Great evening meals. Could hear sound of race cars in distance but not too close to track. Easy drive through town to Breidscheid and view of cars. Beautiful curvy roads around area. Can see cell/radio tower before Kallenhard curve and the hillside down to Breidscheid. Quiet clean great family hotel, not a rowdy racer location, But a great place for mature racers. Parking in Adenau is available in commercial ramps, narrow main street with moderate traffic but still a quick drive through town.

Great place for a quick visit to the Ring

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with a large selection of cold cut meats, cheeses, eggs, smoked salmon (awesome), bread rolls, fresh fruits, etc... Bed was comfortable but squeaked. Everything you need for a reasonable price. Beautiful setting.

Great hotel for Nurburgring visitors

We had a nice stay at this hotel when spending a day driving at the Nurburgring. Highly recommended. Would come back.
