If you're looking for a nice romantic place to take your wife on your honeymoon I'd suggest a different place in a different town. If you have buisness in the area or are attending a race at Eldora Speedway this is a great place. There's a nice restaurant in the building and the town seems like a friendly place.

Looks like they are trying to fix the location up. Power went out last night of stay. Room had a very interesting smell. Outside around property very trashy with overgrown grass bushes etc.

Will not stay again

There was remodeling going on, which it needs, but upon arrival at our room we had to pick up several screws that the workers had left on the floor. Then we were directly under the wash room and when they started washing sheets our bed felt like it was a message bed, the entire room started moving.

Check in person was not present, late, then rude and unhelpful. No luggage carts at all. Shower control was difficult to operate and noisy. Access to the motel from the street was very inconvenient

Dirty. Not wiped down. Not swept. Rodent poop on flor several places. 2” gaps at the bottom of every door. Was not told the room was a conjoined room at time of booking. Was not advised guest laundry was situated directly above my room. Ice buildup blocked freezer from use. Former guests’ food still in the refrigerator. Dirty washcloths, dirty sheets, former guests hair everywhere. Many Stains on Upholstery. Lightbulbs out. Holes in drywall. Unfinished paint. Popcorn ceiling crumble all over bed/floors/desk generally all surfaces. Unfinished plaster around plumbing, no calk at base of toilet. Toilet water collecting on the floor in the bathroom. Ground level windows Unsuccessfully rigged with separate hardware store Screws. Hotel trash and old furniture items askew immediately outside rooms window. No water pressure. Hotel laundry was out of order for bedding and was advised local laundry mat was being used as the ongoing fix. Hotel attendant was put off by request for new sheets, abrupt and aggressive comments to guest regarding bedding. Former guests’ end of roll toilet paper also left on bath chair next to the toilet as there was no formal toilet paper roll holder. Lock to outside entrance door broken off. Did not stay more than 2 hours of my 3 day stay and was still charged for the booking although it was a pay by the day. Still waiting to hear from GM. Will contact regional next.

I paid about $75 a night and got what i paid for. Cheap. Old hotel and hair in the shower, footprints on the sheets, and dirty countertops...but i was only there a few hours to get some rest and move on.

The outside entry door was not secure, you didn't have to scan to get in. It was the same way last year when we stayed there. There were young people in the parking lot sitting on their cars and hanging out. The area around the ice machine and pop machines was dirty. The door for breakfast was locked. There was no vanity in the bathroom.
