Holiday Inn Express and Suites Overland Park

It is a nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. I know we are in a pandemic but I was disappointed with the free breakfast. The room was closed off so you had to ask for what you wanted. The menu listed the available breakfast options which consisted of frozen sandwiches that needed microwaving. We ended up getting breakfast at a local convenience store. That was my only complaint with the stay.

We really enjoyed this location

Very comfortable beds, after a long day of driving and standing out in the cold, the bed was a welcome site. I slept better that night than at home. The building was clean and the halls were very quiet, which is always a plus when staying somewhere.

The mattress was so firm it felt like a slab of cement.

staff is not wearing mask. for the breakfest, you have to get a tray at the breakfest bar and take your meals to the room and eat. However these trays are not washed after each use. disgusting. When i went to the room they did not throw out the half-used shampoo and soap. Are they cleaning during covid-19 when staff is not wearing mask? I did not see anyone spraying lysol in any rooms.

I paid for room via Orbitz when I booked it. They held $25 for incidentals, but after check out charged me for the room and the $25. Have been promised a call from the mgr twice but no call. Very frustrating.

It seems that there were some rowdy team sports that went through before our stay and the staff had not repaired or replace damaged outlets and stained furniture by the time of our check in.

Pleasant stay. Wasn't sure what to expect with CV-19. Making the best of it by allowing one family to reserve the pool for one hour. Kind of nice. Maybe should make it permanent!

The staff were very polite and friendly and I would highly recommend this Holiday Inn!
