Riu Palace Zanzibar - All Inclusive

This hotel property had difficult check-out and is dishonest with their policies. I would not recommend booking a stay here ever.

Long before we flew, we specifically contacted the hotel to say we would be arriving very early to the property and was there some arrangement we could make for an early check in. We never received a response until the day before iur flight and that was an auto reply that someone might contact us within 2 weeks. After an overnight flight, a chaotic pass theough Immigration and a 1.5 hour drive we arrived overtired and cranky. We were showed on a map where the dining hall was but we had 10 minutes to get to it and get some food before it closed for meal change. Afterward we were stuck at reception with no breeze and no air conditioning for over 2 hours waiting for advertized check in time.

First time I go in such type of hotel (lots of tourists) and I felt like in a five star hotel. Wonderful staff, food, location, All is to make your feel the most welcome and with a very personal service It was a wonderful experience

After 2 days spent in another hotel & having no room available for the rest of our holiday there we eventually arrived in paradise! The RIU hotel has it all and is the best RIU hotel I have ever stayed in! Could not fault anything at all. The views & setting are fabulous! Loved every second!! Thank you to all the staff who make your holiday so relaxing & go the extra mike for guests! You are all amazing individuals! Each and everyone of you!!!

We were very desapointed by this kind of resort Very bad check in,the rooms were not ready when we arrived even we told them that we will be there sooner and they said no problème. The breakfast was cheap, no service for fried eggs, the pâtisserie was very cheap for the price we paid about 8000€ for 12 nights all inclusive ( included a discount of 30%)All the meals were at the dame level, certainly not five stars hotel I am very desapointed about the rate that you gave to this « palace »...

The Rooms were very clean and spacious. The room cleaning service is amazing and over expectations. The staff is very friendly and highly professional. The garden is well maintained and beautiful. Not to mention the ocean that changes colors everyday. I rarely give a full 100% in my reviews but here it is a full 100%

The kindness of the African people is what makes all the difference. I could have stayed in a dilapidated hut and it still would have been a great stay simply because of the people.

Stunning hotel, so well kept. The staff were so friendly and the food was incredible. Cocktails also very, very good.
