Great room and full kitchenette which was really nice. Full size fridge and freezer really came in handy. Charles at the front desk was the best!! He helped me on the phone before our stay and while we were there. He was busy but stayed friendly. Great recommendations and positive attitude. Major props to Charles!! Would definitely stay here again.

Great room size an amenities, wonderful hotel staff. Stayed for 2 weeks and it was an absolute pleasure! Dog friendly, pool, community BBQ grill, top notch customer service!

When we walked into our room the smell was unbearable...I called the front eldest and they promptly moved us to another room. It was 75 degrees when we walked in but assumed it was due to no it being unoccupied. We turned down the air and hoped it would cool off...it did not. We went to dinner and spoke with the front desk; they were going to check it out while we were gone. We arrived back to the extremely hot room after dinner. There had been a shift change and the new person working was unaware of the issue; he came up to reset the system...we waited another hour in the hot room with no change. Around 8pm we had to change rooms again with 2 kids under 2 and all of our stuff. The third room didn’t smell and was cool however we had no soap and someone else’s food was still in the fridge...we were exhausted and just let it go. Will not be staying here again

We booked a room for 4 and needed to use the sofa bed however there were no extra blankets for this. Also we had to ask for cleaning services and I feel that this should be done daily especially trash since we had a kitchen. It would have been nice to have had that service daily. Only could use the pool 1 reservation a day per room except seemed like we were the only family that used the pool. We sat outside for 2-3 hrs without anyone using the pool. And we had already used our time for that day. They should have been more accommodating since the rsvp list seemed like no one else had made reservations. Parking is not free. We knew this going in but my sister made a reservation at a nearby hotel for less and no parking fee.

We frequent the Del Mar area often and this was our first time at the Residence Inn. Wish we would have stayed at our regular accommodations but we really needed the full kitchen. The mattress in the room was awful and obviously very old. My wife barely slept during our stay and it ruined a portion of our trip. The staff did remove the mattress topper to try to improve the comfort but it was just old. Even the desk chair in the room was missing half it’s upholstery. Very uncomfortable. We switched to the hotel right across the street and were delighted with the comfortable mattress and room for the remainder of our stay.

The walls and floors on this hotel are very thin, You can hear everything from the rooms around You; and the breakfast is a bad joke, You have to go to the front desk and ask for it and they will ask You how many people are in your room and give a You a 4 oz. yogurt, a small granola bar, an orange and a coffee, that is the whole menu; I could go to the Marriot next door and get a nicer room, no breakfast but $60 lees per night

This hotel stay was a Not So Good stay to say the least. Our experience was bad. When we were looking for Hotels, obviously we look for the best price and 3 star or higher... The price was fair, but overall service was horrible. Free parking was supposed to be Included on this trip, when we got to the check-in, we had to pay $15 for parking. We asked the attendant and they said that the "App Information" is different from the hotels. That was very disappointing. Second, we asked to use the pool and the attendant told us that we had to be put on a "Schedule" to use the pool. So we asked to be put on the schedule and they said no, there is no more room for you guys. Sorry... and We said, "but don't that come Included in the stay"?... and they said Sorry iits on a 1st come 1st serve scheduled bases. Very poor service. Than Breakfast was supposed to be included as well, they said that we can come get it in the morning between 8am and 10am, we went around 9am and was told that there was no more breakfast available. Disappointing. Later that night, we asked for some clean sheets because the bed sheets had "pee stains" on them... was told that they would bring them up in 15 mins, 30 mins passed and we never heard from them. I Finally decided to call back down and was told that they are washing them and will be done in about an hour, we went to bed without sheets or blankets and got a knock on the door around 6am. Poor service. Will not be staying here anymore. Very disappointed.

Overall experience was not good.
