Kelvin Hotel West End

Hotel is in a great position in the West End of Glasgow. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Hotel is very good value for money, as we didn’t realise a full English breakfast was included. Our room was very basic and could do with an upgrade, which would probably impact upon the rates charged. Car parking on site was £5 for 24 hours, although spaces very limited. Car parking in area is a nightmare as most of the road parking was for residents only or pay and display. There are some free parking spaces along the bridge at the side of the Botanical Gardens. We left our car in the area and took a 7 minute walk to Hillhead station for the train into the centre of Glasgow, which costs approximately £6 return and saves the headache of finding parking.

Mi pareja, mi perrita y yo nos alojamos una noche en una habitación con cuarto de baño compartido. Los baños, para ser compartidos, estaban limpios. La cama bastante cómoda. Tienen facilities (calentador de agua, tés y cafés). El personal es extremadamente amabale. Desayuno muy rico en un salón precioso. Tiene 4 plazas de parking y los perros tienen un suplemento por día. A cinco minutos de la estación de metro y de una calle con muchos restaurantes. ¡Volveremos!

Really nice staff. Very helpful. Clean and extremely good value. We brought our large dog and the room was spacious enough for us all.

Great place for the price. All staff were friendly and helpful. Shared bathroom not ideal but wasn’t a problem.

Location is excellent with bus and underground transport just a few minutes away.

The operators of the Kelvin Hotel were, quite frankly, a highlight of our stay in Glasgow. They were immediately helpful, always friendly, and very hospitable. You simply don't find this kind of service in a chain hotel.

Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Very easy access to the West End. If I have one suggestion, it would be that it would be nice to have more vegan options at breakfast.
