Ventanas al Mar - Adults Only

The hotel is nice,rooms are a bit different what on pictures but still nice. Very quiet place, 25 minutes away from the city, a little bit noisy at night from the sea noise. Next to the hotel there is a very popular restaurant called Coconuts so you can eat dinner and drink but it is not the cheapest restaurant 😏If you want to take a taxi to the city center you must remember that the taxi should costs you 250 Mexican pesos no more. Taxi drivers are cheating not nice 😔

There was a hammock in the room, and air conditioning was availible at night since it runs on a generator. There was wifi avaliable in the rooms, and the staff were super friendly! The view from the balcony was straight out into the ocean with a view out if the side window of the beach

The view here is next to none. Amazing. We stayed during a full moon and we were blown away being RIGHT above the rocks and crashing waves. Included breakfast very good (eggs your way, huevos rancheros, coffee, juice). You can get supper on-site if you ask in advance (catch of the day, steak, pasta for vegetarians). There’s a small bar with happy hour drink specials 5-6pm. Bed comfy. Staff is kind and accommodating. Saw lots of people come and go by taxi (25 minute drive to airport/centro), but we rented a car which was great to drive and explore (if you get stressed driving this will be a challenge as locals use mostly scooters and drive wild). Right outside the hotel’s front door there’s a cycling/walking path next to the ocean for miles. A pedestrian’s dream. The beach is nice to sit on, but on the east side of the island the water is very choppy and swimming and snorkeling seems much more dangerous than calm west side waters (red flags on beaches). This place is lovely, but it is not luxurious. Again… you come for the view and seclusion. AC only during select overnight hours (10pm-5am) due to the fact the entire place runs on generators. The room is basic. The bathroom even more so. The water pressure low. Wifi only in common area. 3G coverage for data. No TV. (But hey just look out your back door!) No room fridge. But to sit outside the back door of your hotel room and feel and see nature in this way is something I have never before experienced. We will gladly be back.

This resort was GORGEOUS. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet, stunningly beautiful getaway, look no further. My husband and I took a long weekend here and had the best time. Many of the rooms overlook the sea and the view is just unbeatable. Since we don’t drink, we didn’t mind that it wasn’t all-inclusive, BUT breakfast is included, and it’s delicious! Not just your buffet fare. And dinner was very affordable considering the exchange rate and the fact the it is a nightly 3 course meal with out preferences in mind!! Miguel and the other staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We would love to return.

If you want endless quiet, beautiful beaches, this place is for you. Ventanas’ dinners are delicious, the cocktails are tasty, the views are spectacular, the staff are friendly and helpful. Their decor is delightful. Coconut’s is next door and their food is delicious, too. I will really miss Ventanas and it’s surroundings

pleasant hotel in the middle of no where

the hotel was just what we were looking for on an island that small. far away from the main city -- but close enough if you need to get back. the hotel was cozy, simple, yet had pretty much everything you would need to get away from it all. but, it was also right next door to a food and drink "hut" (that you also see every handful of miles around the island) -- that you "didn't hear any of the noise" from there. so if you wanted some quick food and drinks, it was just a walk up a hidden path. or stay in the peaceful beach, the deck, the pool, the benches -- all around a wonderful place to be. at nights, it so dark the stars are really bright. coming from a rather large city -- this was a wonderful sight and really romantic for us. having a car did allow us to venture around the island (first time for us to do this) that helped give us ideas the next time we do this for a longer stay. while there are giant resorts and other boutique hotels on the other side of the island, we will definitely book here again.

This was our second time at this hotel and it was just as lovely. The location is outstanding — away from cruise ships. It has killer views and excellent staff. The full breakfasts included were delicious. Highly recommend.
