Motel 6 Elkton, MD

Not a family hotel

We have a family trip so we booked this motel for 1 night. Though the room clearly had a sticker saying no smoking but still there was weed smell inside the room. We checked others rooms as well but there were no rooms which could have been smoke free. The size of the room was very small and it lacked facilities such as microwave and fridge. It was a very very basic room but at a price point well above 100 USD it was not a pleasing experience. The staff was very friendly and courteous

Filthy

Beds were absolutely filthy. Had to have them bring in clean linens and we then changed our beds. The room itself wasn't much cleaner than the beds. Thank God we didn’t end up with bugs!

Gentleman at front desk was great, but room was in general disrepair. Multiple patches over holes in the drywall done poorly. Bathroom door broken and coming apart, had some screws in the bottom trying to hold it together that were losing that battle. What was supposed to be a non-smoking room had cigarette burns on the countertops and the blanket.

Room was filthy, hair in bed, sheet was flipped and filthy. Was a smoke free room; however, burn marks along bathtub edge and burn holes in bed covering. Place was a dump and I’m being kind. Crackheads make noise outside all night long. Would not recommend this place at all.

It had no microwave,refrigerator,no ironing board and iron, terrible facility. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone .

Broken bed no water pressure. Room 211

I drove in from west Virginia to visit family and stayed here as I normally do. Yes there are usually problems but nothing that's terrible. This past tome I stayed in room 211 and not only was the bed broken but there was also absolutely no water pressure... It was a trickle. So I had the most uncomfortable of rests. And my shower took forever. Hopefully it'll be better next time. And they get that bed fixed and water pressure dealt with.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Ice & vending machines all worked. The steps & walk ways around property do need Tobe cleaned/pressure. I would stay again ok quiet place for low/fair price.

The toilet was inoperable, full of toilet paper, unusable. One toilet part found laying around. The beds indifferently made. Wear and tear evident throughout the unit. No breakfast though advertised as having breakfast. The check-in clerk claimed they never had breakfast. Morning coffee was offered in a small cup. The phone had no directory or services offered.
