Gran Hotel de Merida

a beautiful well preserve, clean hotel, great attention, excelent location

The room I had over the square was lovely and large. However, there is activity in the square until 11 or midnight, especially on weekends. The hotel is historic (i.e. not the most modern) and lobbies, up and down, are large and well furnished, a nice place to bring a coffee and your tablet or glass of wine. Staff are helpful and the hotel is well run.

This Hotel was a piece of history in Merida, attention all the time, good location for me close to any transportation, clean environment, and the feeling to be surrounded by beautiful furniture and architecture.

The hotel was amazing!! It was right in the center of everything! Walking distance to all of the shops and markets. The hotel was gorgeous and super unique. There was a small market in the park adjacent to the hotel with Mayan crafts and clothing. Overall amazing trip! Our only complaint was the noise from the street traffic and a warbling guitar player outside our window, but that wasn’t the hotels fault.

Beautiful colonial hotel, architecturally stunning! Lots of common seating areas, wonderful, helpful staff, awesome location. No elevator, no pool. Starbucks and great ice cream place attached. Will definitely stay here again!!
