Aloha from Hawaii…..

Checkin was quick and easy…..receptionist Laura was very welcoming….hospitable……comprehensive with her hotel orientation…..other receptionist Magally was very accommodating……extra pillows and extra clothes hangers. Breakfast was very delicious with several choices……allowed us to take our coffee refills back to our room…. kudos to the cook….Gema. The daily room and building cleaning was vey professional……housemaid Kelin did a fabulous job. I watched her clean the sliding door tracks at the large upstairs events room. I rate this hotel beyond five stars.

Rooms need a makeover

The Hotel Arenal Rabfer staff was really nice upon check-in. The rooms have seen better days. The bed comforters are paper thin and had stains on them. They definitely need to be replaced, and offer better quality comforters so you aren't cold at night. The other issue is that you can't flush toilet paper down the toilet so it all needs to go in the tiny trash can in the bathroom, which is quite disgusting. I understand the plumbing is old but this is really not OK for guests who are staying more than a night. The price was right for one night but would not stay here again.

Good choice in La Fortuna town

Clean, basic rooms. Short on some room amenities (towels, drinking glasses) but delivered when requested. Excellent breakfasts included with stay. Seems to be a favourite choice of Ticos. Friendly staff, but limited in knowledge of tours/activities. Be prepared to pay to get to Arenal volcano area if you don’t have a vehicle, as there is no public transit.

Hotel is just ok. It is very close to all the La Fortuna downtown shops and restaurants..that’s a plus. Rooms are just ok..they have not been updated in years ! They still have the old box tv with 4 channels. No hair-dryer or shampoo in the bathroom, safe did not work as well. Breakfast was basic. The only plus point was the staff at the front desk. Ericka was very helpful and guided us well with her recommendations for tours and arranging transportation to San Jose.

Good enough for us to not feel uncomfortable being here. The air conditioner worked very well and the staff was extremely kind, specifically the girl that worked in the mornings. Go 7 am for breakfast or you won’t have much options by 8. Bed was comfortable as well and housekeeping was daily

Cozy hotel

Walking distance from anything I needed, the staff was exceptional, very helpful and going overboard to make sure I'm happy

Basic

Service was very nice and walking distance to eateries, Basic hotel and too expensive for the amenities. Would not stay there again because if price.
