Incredible stay - 100% Recommend

Although Santa Claus Holiday Village is promoted on package holidays for Christmas for families, my boyfriend and I went on a couples trip with no kids and stayed in a Superior Cottage A for five nights. After booking through Hotels.com, we sent a messsge to the property to request a cottage down the back near the forest & they promptly responded that they had made a note of this. We were taking the overnight train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi, but on arrival in Helsinki, discovered that the airline had lost our luggage & would send to our hotel once it was found. I messaged the hotel to let them know in case our luggage arrived there before us, & reception replied immediately saying no problem. When we arrived at SCHV the next morning, we were greeted by Marjanna on reception - she is an incredibly friendly, warm and fantastic person to deal with. Always smiling and happy to help! She was able to get us into our cottage at midday instead of 4pm which was much appreciated! Also must highly commend Henna on reception for how helpful, chatty and friendly she was too. We’ve rarely felt such genuine warmth from hotel reception staff and could have chatted with both of them all day. SCHV took care of us while knowing our luggage was lost with gestures that absolutely made our trip, which they werent required to provide but which only further reflected the high regard we hold this hotel in. Cottages are warm& cozy - beautiful surroundings - we’d love to go back!!!

You could not control the heat. It was so hot that we did not sleep the four nights we were there. You could not regulate it yourself. They did nothing about the problem

A wonderful four day stay in Tempur Suite. Clean, cosy, beautiful views and our very own sauna. Loved every moment!

This property was the best choice for us to bring our son to meet Santa Claus. Near Santa park and inside the village where he can be met with no appointment. The cottage was large, they dropped us right in front of it and they took our luggage when we left.

The Santa Claus Village is the correct property to book. It is walking distance to everything. Our room was quiet, well stocked, and had everything we needed. The hot breakfast in the mornings were awesome. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

Nice cottage, well equipped and the private sauna room is very nice. Walking distance to the Santa Park and very nice breakfast too.
