Disappointed

We stayed in the dog friendly townhouse. It was like taking a step back into the 80’s. Everything was so outdated. I’m guessing this is why there are limited pictures online. What was supposed to be a nice getaway turned out to be very disappointing. Would not recommend for the price.

The hotel overall is pretty nice. Unfortunately during the winter there was not much to do around the local area. The staff is very nice but restaurant service was very slow for the price we paid.

The property was overall disappointing. I thought it would have been a lot better. The living room was drafty and cold. The room smelled musty. There were numerous stink bugs found in the room.

Our second time there, it is a beautiful property and the staff is excellent! Very convenient to Geneva and the wine/beer trail. The room though needed attention. It was generally clean but the carpet needed a good shampoo. All in, we enjoyed it and will be back.

Friendly, accommodating staff. The rooms were comfortable with (surprisingly) too many closets. The one significant downside was the apparent updating that was necessary throughout. or the amount of money we paid, more was expected. The dinner menu is overpriced and not recommended, though service was nice. The grounds were well manicured, pretty and peaceful.

The piano player during dinner was the best! My dinner was exceptional I ordered the special that night. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room had roses and chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our anniversary. The grounds are beautiful, picture perfect. The highlight was sitting on the bluff and watching the sunrise. We grabbed a coffee and apple bread from the parlor at 6:30 and went straight out to watch the sunrise over the Seneca Lake and it was perfect. My only disappointment was that so much of the interior of the home had been gutted and lost to make room for hotel rooms. I had my heart set on seeing a grand stair case or large dinning room or something from the historical period that it was built in. Sadly there was very little to see. Still I think I will be back. That sunrise got me! It is the perfect location.

Cancelled my reservations 4 days prior to staying because of medical emergency . Still being billed by Expedia . Never use Expedia again ! 80 years old !
