Harborside Inn

I wanted to take time to review the Harborside. My wife and I, decided to entend our New England trip by booking a last night and a last minute at the Harborside Inn. The Inn Manager, Jane, called and emailed to confirm reservations and appropriate Covid travel procedures, asked about special occasions. We were celebrating both of our birthdays that week. Upon arrival we were greated warmly and with fresh cookies. The room was perfect with the balcony right over the water. The room also come with a birthday card and some sweets to celebrate. Jane was helpful with dinner reservations as well. The room however did have one issue of an odd smell. Nothing that would have had us change rooms. I brought up upon checkout. An hour later call from Jane. She had been all through the room and could smell the same but couldn't place it. Beyond the apologies she had also provided with a partial refund from the night on her own. There was also a follow up to let us know the room had maintenence done and smell was gone. Thank you Jane, again, for everything. Anytime we are staying in Newport, it will only be at the Harborside Inn!

This is a cozy hotel in walking distance to almost everything. The City View Suite was large with 2 beds; with one in the loft above. The room was very clean and the hotel very conscientious about Covid concerns. The staff were friendly and genuinely concerned about your well-being and the quality of your stay. We are sure to come back

Great, Comfortable, and convenient place to stay right in town. We had a city view suite Room 9. King Bed upstairs and queen and pull out couch downstairs. We were hoping to use the pull out couch for one kid but we did not even try because it was indented in the middle and not too comfortable. Staff is very nice. Fresh blueberry muffins so yummy in the morning and fresh Choc chip and oatmeal cookies are out in the lobby in the afternoon. Fridge is in the closet. There is a small closet upstairs along with a dresser and two night stands. You can see the Newport bridge at night in the distance. Fan in bathroom made rattling noise but no big deal for us. On our 2nd day the Downstairs Air conditioner started making noises when The compressor came on. Overall this is a great place to stay . I will stay again in the future.

The staff was great, going above and beyond. Room was perfect size and clean. View was perfect. Amazing location. Will definitely be coming back!

Loved how close it was to town and the pleasant staff always looking to make the experience excellent for us. Will be back !!

The convenience to everything in town. Also loved the breakfast. Was well thought out and had everything that anyone would want or need. We plan to return to this facility on another occasion.

Our room was super comfortable which made for great nights of sleep. We we were also happy having a free breakfast each morning. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and extremely helpful. The establishment is adjacent to a dock and in a central location. In two-and-a-half days we visited four mansions from the Gilded Age, drove a picturesque route along the ocean, walked a scenic path on the water's edge, toured an art museum, attended a dinner/theater/cabaret show, saw a famous Irish singer in concert, shopped, and ate lobster dishes in some great restaurants. Our long weekend could not have been more relaxing and enjoyable. What a great place to visit!

Service and location were outstanding. Perfect get away

Lovely inn located on the harbor. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The person at check in was very friendly and welcoming. Included continental breakfast which was basic but, fine for our purposes.
