Hotel Vellir

Great hotel. Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good with a very large selection of food choices. Coffee and orange juice was very good. Beds are the BEST!! super comfortable. This is our 2nd trip to Reykjavík and we will always stay here. Highly recommend.

Right on highway, close to Airport, close to blue lagoon

I liked the location . The breakfast was amazing. The room was perfect . Comfortable beds . I wish the room had alarm clock. We don't have a adapter for our phone to charger it .I was hoping they one we could use for the night . We will stay again if in the area . The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't not catch his name .

Only 15 minutes outside Reykjavík.. only 2 mins outside small town which was very nice. Hotel was quiet and we had an amazing view of the northern lights while we were there

It’s a good place to stay but for a few things, odd that they don’t have ice machines you have to go down to the bar and they give you glasses of ice, no microwave or fridge either. The restaurant could use a new menu. The staff was great, helpful and friendly. Overall a good place to stay.

About half an hour drive to the airport. Great location if you need to catch a flight early in the morning. The room are great for the price. Only complaint is that there isn't a full restaurant serving dinner but breakfast buffet makes up for it.

About 25 min to airport.. Basic hotel that we used before our early morning flight. Person at the desk happily opened breakfast 1 hour early to accomdate our early departure. Very nice!! Located in a quiet industrial area, so wouldnt look for nightlife. Perfect hotel for our airport needs.

This is a very comfortable hotel located about 20 minutes from downtown Reykjavik. It is on the road leading from the airport to the city. It has free parking, quiet comfortable rooms, and an awesome breakfast included. We appreciated the ability to park our car easily, something not possible if staying in the city. Be aware that there are no services near the hotel, If you don't have a car, then it would not be such a good choice.

Good breakfast, loved the shower. comfy beds. my husband asked for a plate one night since we got pizza and he was going to be charged for it, which we thought was strange.

This was the second time we checked into the hotel just before leaving Iceland for a morning flight. The shower head was broken and the water was not draining resulting in water all over the bathroom. When I brought it up to the front desk their response was that they will let housekeeping know. I would have expected them not to have a guest stay in a room that has a clearly non functional shower and offer us a refund for having to put up with such a bathroom.
