2-Night Anacortes Stay

My husband and I met a friends for a weekend in Anacortes. We thought the $59 room rate was surprising and decided to chance staying at The San Juan Hotel. The woman at the front desk during check-in was very nice. The room was large (beds separated in two separate sections) and the beds comfortable enough. The property is in serious need of updating, but for the price and location we thought it was suitable enough and clean enough. The location was within walking distance to all of the restaurants and live music on Saturday evening. Remember, this is a budget property, so keep your expectations low. We would stay again if we needed a quick overnight stay before taking the ferry.

Great family trip

We liked our stay here as a family. Spacious rooms, kitchenette, each bed in their own area (easy to put kid to bed on one side and parents still stay up on theirs). Kitchenette worked great for us, but we'd recommend supplying dishes and cookware. Short walk to the ferry (to Guemes) and beach/lookout area - for sunsets its great. Walkable to the main streets with shops, restaurants, etc. Lovely town and good experience.

Rani and her family, who operate this property, are very warm, kind and hospitable folks. They go the extra mile to ensure their guests feel comfortable and at home, and are always willing to help. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and will back for sure.

The staff was very helpful when we returned before 8:00am opening because I had left my phone in the room. We had already checked out and left the room keys in the key return box. It was a very good value and a great location.

Canceled without my knowledge

I couldn't write this hotel because this hotel decided to cancel my reservation after I did not show up when they chose to charge my card even though it was pay upon arrival so therefore if I did not have a room that was reserved when I got into town and I had to find my own place to rent and I was told that I did noot have reservations as soon as I got to the hotel and they had no rooms to book

An excellent choice

The San Juan Motel was very peaceful and quiet. From check-in to check-out, the services and room was much more than you think you’re going to get for the price. Let me say that there was nothing cheap, except the price, when it came to this Motel. Make sure to see the sunrise from Cap Sante Point. One of the best I’ve seen.
