Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach

We were disappointed in the restaurant. Food wasn't very good. Disappointed in the breakfast buffet.

We didn’t stay here they couldn’t accommodate us over packed. They said they wouldn’t charge us for the stay

First dip in Clearwater

Great location, room facing gulf was awsome, room service went well. Only negative is food quality below average. We would stay here again and always eat elsewhere

Review

We were out the majority of the days only to come back around 4-5pm and our room still hadn’t been cleaned for the day by housekeeping. The pool and lounging area by the pool was far to small for the amount of hotel guests. It was close to impossible to get a lounge chair if you got out there any later than 8:30am.

Pool area full

No beds/seats at the pool OR beach. The hotel does not have enough beds at the pool area or beach. We tried on the afternoon we arrived and the next morning to get some seats/beds at the pool area. Had to sit on the ground. Not cool when you’ve got kids. Looks like people reserve the beds with towels early then go for breakfast. A lot of beds with towels on but no one on them.

Fresh clean hotel with beautiful relaxing color scheme! Fabulous restaurant & service. Uber comfortable beds. Gorgeous view of ocean. Overall wonderful experience!

Disappointed!

Although there were some good aspects, like beachfront location, we were overall disappointed with our stay at the Wyndham Grand. We arrived at noon and did get an early check-in which was great, and we were told we could get lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach. Although it was 75 and sunny, (seriously... not a cloud in the sky!) we went to the beach and were told that because of the weather, there would be no chairs or umbrellas at the beach. There were showers that morning and the decision was made that chairs and umbrellas would not be available for the rest of the (very sunny and warm) day. The mattress was too soft and the fitted sheets were too small (the elastic could not fit over the mattress!) So we did not get good sleep. Except for the person who checked us in, the staff was not friendly. We asked for beach towels the following morning (around 8am) and were told that it was too early and they would give them to us later in the morning. We had to pay a resort fee that was supposed to cover beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels, but apparently, that's not really the case. When we inquired about that, we were told 'Well, that resort fee also covers all the water tea and coffee in the room." Great location, but definitely not worth the price.

Great resort!

Beautiful resort and a great location. We were right in the middle of nice restaurants, right on the beach, fun kid activities
