I would give the room a full positive except the bed was squeaky so it was a little hard to sleep and the entryway light shines through the stained glass door right onto the bed all night. Other than those 2 things we loved the room. The breakfast however was a major disappointment. A slice of toast, a little bit of scrambled egg and sausage. We could get a better breakfast at a cheap hotel chain

Wonderful Stay

I stayed in Seaside Retreat (second floor/stairs) and absolutely loved everything about my stay! Self check-in was appreciated and easy to do. Queen bed & pillows were SO comfortable. Large jacuzzi tub worked perfectly and was very relaxing. French toast breakfast was served on time (9:00am) and tasted wonderful. Owner was friendly and extremely accommodating for my late checkout. I worked while I waited for transportation and didn’t have any problems with WiFi. I never worried about Covid during my whole stay. Very clean and adorable Victorian property!!

cute property w/ some things to avoid

There aren’t many options to stay in Provo and this is certainly a good option for a night stay. I stayed in the Secret Garden suite. I would urge no guest to stay in that room as it is closest to the street where there is a very large recycling receptacle parked out front. All morning long I heard glass bottles being thrown into the bin. The room smelled like dirty bath water (the tub is in the actual bedroom), I ended up filling it with bubble bath and just let the aroma fill the room to mask the stench. I noticed one of the pillow cases was ripped. Breakfast was good and they had no issues with my dietary restrictions. I did not report any of these issues to the property as I checked in late and left early the next morning. Location is pretty central.

Hines Mansion is a beautiful property with alot of history. Me and my girlfriend were lucky enough to receive a tour of the manion. During the tour we got to check out all of the incredible themed rooms, and learn about the lush history. Staff were very frindly and knowledgeable. Hines Mansion is also in a great location. Restaurants and everything necessary all within walking distance. Not alot of traffic and has easy parking. I give 5 stars out of 5 will stay again!

Beautiful stained glass windows and jetted tub. It’s in downtown Provo and close to many restaurants. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

The house is beautiful and well maintained. The themed rooms were fun and attractive. The staff was friendly and helpful, but are not on site after 6pm. Breakfast was nice, but not much better than I make at home. You can, however, request your own meal. One of the drawers in our bedside table had 2 old wrappers in it, but the room was otherwise very nice. Check-in is ONLY from 4-6pm, so plan accordingly. Overall, a very pleasant place to celebrate a special occasion (which we were), quaint, quiet.
