Water Street Retreats

Perfect downtown location. Short walk to the Hannah Block Community Center where we attended a concert (our reason for coming to Wilmington). Condo was clean and comfortable. Easy access to lockbox for keys and only a short walk to parking garage with free parking a plus! We’d stay here again.

Amazing view of the Cape Fear River and the Battleship. Checking in was a real hassle and required many texts and emails. Also having to leave go get the car and come back to leave the parking pass was not convenient. Overall a nice enough place but check in and check out was cumbersome.

The location was everything! We parked the car and did not touch it all weekend. While the room was nice, it could use a deep cleaning. A little dusty, but nothing that made us not enjoy our stay. Communication was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was located right downtown and was in walking distance of the restaurants, bars and shops. Having a free parking space was very helpful. I will absolutely book again and I recommend this property to others.

Location was great! View was beautiful, directly across from the USS NC. Construction next door but didn’t effect our stay. Kitchen was fully stocked, not everything was cleaned well in the kitchen but everything else was perfect. Communication was wonderful.

Rude mamager, no signage.parking is a.block away. Guest met me at the door telling me its a dump. I refused to stay there.

Went to open curtains and curtain rod fell. Looking closer looked like tape holding it together. Threshold from hallway to kitchen loose and raised nails from it.

I always prefer to stay in a condo or a room with a small kitchen. This was nice, overlooking the river, and right downtown. There was some confusion on the check in process. As I was driving they sent me 5 text pictures of where to park (about 2-3 blocks away), as well as how to get the key from a lock box. But the pictures didn't show the correct lock box, or it's code, so I had to call, which they seemed slightly upset about. Also no instructions about garbage removal, but that is minor...I just don't like to leave stuff on checkout. The location and comfort was very good,

We loved the view of the river and battleship from our room. I couldn't get comfortable at all on the couch and a decent chair would be a great help, if there is room. My only disappointment was that there was no Stevia or Sweet n Low for the coffee. I'm diabetic so the sugar was not for me. However those observations are not complaints at all, maybe just suggestions from a recent guest couple that loved everything else about our experience. We were celebrating our 43rd anniversary and will be back.
