Historic Hotel Nevada and Gambling Hall

Adorable hotel. A very old hotel but updated room. Very comfortable.

Biggest hotel in town.

The hotel nevada is a really neat place to stay. A lot of mining history in the area.

Definitely older building. No updated amenities in rooms like microwave or refrigerator. They were quick to respond to an issue I had with the toilet not flushing correctly. Hot water in shower on and off.

Old and charming. Nice size rooms. Clean, would stay again.

I had problems with the reservation showing at the hotel The desk clerk was wonderful helping me contact Hotels.com and getting the issues resolved,she even upgraded our room. It’s an old hotel. Could definitely use some updating better painting etc. but for the historic experience we were looking for it was fine

Stayed two nights. It started off as a good introduction with a quick and easy check-in and a complimentary drink ticket. The room is definitely adequate for a couple nights but the rooms that face the main street get rather noisy during the night, making it difficult to sleep soundly. There is a Keurig coffee pot, which was great for the first morning, but housekeeping does a lousy job for the second day. The bed was made but no new coffee pods, or creamers, or sugar was replaced. Also, the promised daily free bottle of water was not replenished, nor were the used towels replaced either. On a positive note, it was nice that each night came with a free breakfast at Denny's the next morning, but unless I could get a room behind the building or overlooking a side street, I wouldn't stay there again. I did like, however, that the hotel was only a 1-1/2 minute walk from the Bristlecone Convention Center, and that it is very close to some of the best restaurants in old town Ely (Aultman Street), which is a real advantage.

After a very long, desolate drive, we were glad to see the lights of Ely, Nevada. This is an old building, and the first floor is a small, smoky casino. It has some interesting old-timey decor. They offered a coupon for a free drink at the bar upon check-in, and a coupon for a free breakfast at Denny's (inside the hotel) in the morning. Upon entering our non-smoking room, (I think their policy is that all rooms are non-smoking) it smelled very strongly of smoke. I went down to the desk and they offered to let me smell another room. It was decorated exactly the same, but didn't smell of smoke. The room was small, nice bed, and teeny-tiny bathroom. The sink was adorable. The tiniest I've ever seen. One annoyance was the heater. It heats up the room super fast, but doesn't regulate. It is either on or off. If you leave it on you'll bake all night, if you leave it off it could get quite chilly. I'd suggest familiarizing yourself with the row of buttons before you go to sleep so you can adjust it easily in the night.

This is an historic hotel which means it’s past it’s prime but still acceptable. It’s clean and bed was comfy . It comes with a full breakfast at the Denny’s which was an unexpected bonus.
