Great location in Seminyak and easy access to the beach and venues like Potatohead Beach Club. Property shows a little wear, but spacious rooms and very service-oriented staff made my stay really great. Pools were fabulous and great view of the ocean - could literally spend the whole day in the resort!

Poor infrastructure quality

stayed two nights. first night, some water leaked from the ceiling and the aircondition made the entire room damp. changed room for second night and there was no warm water in the evening.

No regrets

We had a lovely time at the Alila Seminyak. We were pleased to be upgraded on arrival to a beach access suite due to my Gold Hotels.com status (Thankyou!). The staff were lovely and so attentive. The pools were beautiful and we really enjoyed our facials at the day spa. Truly luxurious. The beds were pretty hard, but a call to reception and they had an extra topper on the mattress for us. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Very nice luxury hotel

Very nice hotel right on the beach. The restaurant had great free breakfast every morning with an amazing view. located close to everything.

Very serene environment, was very close to main strip but removed enough that it was very peaceful. Beautiful and well maintained grounds, very relaxing. Staff were friendly. Great gym and pools, nice to have adults only pool. Thought in the end that it was a little expensive for what was offered. Our room toilet smelled of urine, and although room was attended to daily (I left it relatively clean and tidy anyway), some clean towels were stained and the cleanliness was more superficial than actual. Rooms should have smelled better as the humidity in Bali can lead to damp smell. Found black hair in shower (not ours) which suggests that cleaning could have been more thorough. For a hotel that cost in the ballpark of AUD $400 per night, the above should not have occurred.

Alila Villas was truly a 5-star experience from attentive staff to beautiful room and amenities. The location was perfect in between petinget street and seminyak square. Walkable or easily reached with the hotel shuttle service. My sister and I loved the restaurant, breakfast was wonderful- we worked through the menu during our 5-night stay. Dinner and in room-service was also great. The pools were beautiful and we loved how zen the adult pool felt. Will definitely return to Alila when we return to Seminyak!

I’ve felt my stay at the Kayon Resort in Ubud was much better regarding staff service and hospitality. The high quality service that I experienced just previously checking in Alila Seminyak could have made my experience here less impressive.
