Hotel La Palma de Llanes

We enjoyed one night here before heading up into the Picos mountains. Staff were very helpful we didn’t opt for the breakfast instead getting a coffee and croissant in the hotel cafe instead. We upgraded on arrival to a larger room for an extra €15, the room was lovely and we would be happy to stay here again

Often use this hotel on our trips to Northern Spain and it never disappoints.

We were greeted by a friendly, helpful receptionist. We were offered and accepted an upgrade to a room overlooking the pool away from the road, (about 8 Euros). The room and bathroom were clean and very pleasant. Breakfast was lovely. There was plenty of choice and everything was very fresh. The hotel was convenient for the A8 motorway and about 2 hours drive from the port of Bilbao, from where we were sailing the following day. It wasn't far to walk into the interesting town of Llanes which has a lovely "old town" and lots of bars and restaurants. There is a nice walk into Llanes from the hotel following the river. We had dinner in town, not at the hotel so cannot comment on this.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. The reception staff were excellent (in particular, a woman whose name we didn't get) - very helpful and provided a map of the local area. The initial room we were given faced the road, which was quite noisy. We asked for a room change, which they did (and moved us to the much quieter back of the hotel which had great views), but we were charged an additional 10 Euros per night for the privilege - which was unexpected and not really fair. The rooms were comfortable; parking very easy; breakfast was just about adequate but they could make improvements in terms of cereals available and hot food. Would we stay again? Yes - there is a beautiful walk to the town and the hotel is very conveniently located. Staff were excellent.

Terrific staff,great outstanding hotel and facilities and a wonderful town and area!!!

Nice hotel with wonderful staff. Room was big with nice balcony. Bathroom while big could use some more hooks and storage room and other amenities. Not so close to town but easily walked. Good parking.

Hotel was ok but a little dated. Not sure how it has a 4 star rating. We left here a few days early due to bad weather. I don't think I would pick to stay here again but it was perfectly ok.
