AC Hotel by Marriott Marseille Prado Velodrome

Hotel in an ok location. We wanted to stay close to the Palais de sport for a tennis tournament so it was within walking distance. Snacks only available later in evenings after tournament, but the worst tea and cappuccino ever at the bar!

This property is listed as a 4 star accommodation, which is not at all accurate. Expedia needs to review this property immediately to register the rating at no more than a 2-3 Star hotel. The location is fine if you want to be far from the maddening crowds. 4 Metro stops from Vieux Port using both Metro lines. The hotel is 3 years old, but looks like 10. The staff was generally grumpy and unhappy, which I believe is a big sign that there is a problem with the management. The breakfast was a big disappointment. The hot food was never hot, the cappuccino machine produced curdled milk in my Latte. Customers were constantly requesting items to be filled and asking for food that should have been ready accessible for them. The rooms were exactly like the photos with the exception of the bed, which claimed to be a King and was really two twins pushed together and not very well. The beds themselves were hard and uncomfortable and when we requested additional bedding to soften the bed, the staff person at the desk was not at all gracious, but rather snotty about it. I was tempted to suggest that she spend a night on the bed before she makes an assumption on how the beds really are. The shower was good, but the drain did not work. We were swimming in water every time we took a shower. The water would overflow constantly. We reported this, but nothing was done. I don't know the standards of Marseille, but this is not a 4 star hotel!

Good location for both access to city via metro and out of town to beaches by car. Comfortable bed and good sized, clean room, but parking place by hotel not guaranteed even if willing to pay €10 per day (other options free street parking but may take a while to find (safe) spot or €25 per night in nearby parking hall).

Love that it was near local transportation. Easy to get around

A nice little hotel for my brief 2-night stay. Right next to the Stade Vélodrome. Decent sized room with nice shower and extensive TV channels (including BBC1!). The breakfast was somewhat limited but good enough to sustain.

Incredible location- right next to soccer stadium, mall, and metro stop. Great room design and very clean.

Nice place to stay. Great location for catching the metro and they have parking available on site. Difficult to figure out how to get into the hotel to check in. Signs and traffic flows make getting on the property difficult. Morning breakfast buffet in not worth $25. Great bike trail next to the hotel to ride to the beach. Safe neighborhood.

The hotel is quite modern and simplified style... Comfortable and clean. A bit of cheap feeling though
