It was a very nice relaxing atmosphere. Couldn't really rate the overall area because it was a Thanksgiving evening and nothing was opened but plan on staying there again on my return trip

We'll be going back!

I had booked the Bluefield Inn as a special overnight for just my husband and myself on our way north for Thanksgiving. I was looking for something that wasn't your typical cookie-cutter hotel, and my expectations were exceeded! This charming Inn is an amazing mixture of the old, with an emphasis on original fixtures, wallpaper, chandeliers, etc. combined with a wonderful sense of décor showcasing different regions of the world. Walls and shelves are festooned with a combination of treasures the owners have collected from their travels and gifts that were given from visitors to the Inn. The result provides a feeling like you're in a cozy home, but you can also spend hours exploring the different rooms in the common areas. The breakfast was simply gourmet, with wonderful juice blends, freshly ground coffee, yogurt parfait, and an egg dish that was mouth-wateringly good. Everyone was super-friendly and accommodating. If there were more stars to give, they would have earned them!

Our first post-Covid travel. The Inn has arranged contactless check in and out. They sent us some instructions by text ahead of time, so we arrived and went right to our room where we found our keys and WiFi code, etc. They helped us find takeout dinner and the tables at breakfast were very well spaced and times were staggered, (although that was more likely due to the individual guests own schedules.). We felt safe, but I kind of miss the before time tradition of sharing breakfast with fellow travelers and hearing all their stories.

The staff was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The rooms were beautiful. The whole Inn is very interesting. Highly recommend staying at the Inn.

Great place to stay

The accommodations were amazing. Two Presidents have stayed here. The area was gorgeous. Breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and always at hand for directions and help

Absolutely charming! If you like old homes and old decor, this is a perfect stop. The owner and manager are both lovely and fun. Breakfast was delicious. Their restaurant and hiking Reccos were perfect. Could not have been a better stop.
