Coriacea Boutique Resort

The bed was really very comfortable. The restaurant was very good and the breakfast was very good. During our visit, staff had rudimental English, so we had to muddle our way through with most things, which wasn't a probkem. The swimming pool was very cloudy. This hotel is good if you need a hotel near to the airport for convenient international travel. However, we stayed here for five days and there is nothing to do there except lay in the sun. There are NO shops or restaurants nearby, so very expensive on taxis/tuc-tucs. A red flag was flying in the beach for 4 and a half of the five days, so no swimming in the sea. Even when it was deemed safe to swim there is a steep drop off into the sea, so not at all suitable for children or weak swimmers, it goes very deep very quickly, with strong undercurrents. The sand is more like grit and very rough. When we booked trips out from the hotel we had to pay surcharges of of anything from 500tbh to 2000tbh per person for transfers, sometimes each way.

Liked easy access to see airplanes landing at Phuket Airport. Great dinner restaurant. Friendly and committed staff.

Flying in and out of Phuket? Stay here!

We stayed here for one night when we flew into Phuket and it was a great choice. A lovely empty beach in the evening and a beautiful sunset. If you are coming or going through the airport it's a great stay!

Chef is the best part of resort. Room smelled like it was sprayed with insect repellent. Bartender was rude. Kept pouring cheap liquor while displaying top shelf bottles. Informed us that he could not pour from bottles since they were filled with water. Fitness center closed for renovations but still listed as an amenity of website. Resort is tired looking. Staff was otherwise friendly.

Excellent Exprience

So happy we chose this hotel for the first and last night of our trip. It's a bit secluded but that made it perfect if you want your private beach. We stayed at Patong the rest of out time in Phuket but the beaches there were nothing compared to this one. Staff was great, check-in and check-out was easy. They have bikes to use, we had fun riding bikes. Breakfast was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. The only con would be transportation may be a bit expensive because its away from popular sites.

Two Thumbs Up

Great place to stay if you want to be away from the crowd. Quiet beach-front area. Free breakfast was great, with many options. A short walk down the beach will take you to the area where planes take off and land at low altitude.
