The Historic Madison Hotel Motel

Wonderful place to stay. Yes, the rooms are bit smaller and there is no TV ( in the original Hotel part) but I loved the exposed logs everywhere & the “old” feel. Room was clean and my bed was very comfortable. Hotel was quiet at night and the always available hot Huckleberry Chocolate in the downstair area was great. I would definitely book again!! Very close to the West entrance of Yellowstone NP and lots of other cool places.

I’ve thought about this review a lot. I had read all the comments and the replies from management, the replies are what concerned me. But don’t let them! The owner checked us in and we even discussed his reply’s to reviews. He is a direct spoken person and is a wealth of information about the area. All the staff were helpful. The rooms are simply furnished, the beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. Was this a 4 star experience? No, but I didn’t pay four star prices either! This is a wonderful little gem of a hotel with atmosphere, reasonably priced and a real great character for an owner!

Small room and no TV but hey, it was built over 100 years ago! Very cool historic hotel just outside of Yellowstone. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room. Enjoyed the common 2nd floor balcony and huckleberry hot chocolate.

The desk clerk was amazing! I couldn’t figure the heat in my room so he helped me and brought a super comfortable blanket. Wonderful location and the room is quaint, very cabin feel! Definitely recommend!

The size of the room was very small inside of the room condition could use upkeep bed was very hard and the shower curtain only went halfway across

Conveniently located to the Yellowstone park entrance. We had a room with the private shower/bathroom which was great. It was a cozy space,and there was no TV( Which was fine by us). They aim to give people the 'experience' of staying in a historic hotel. Several restaurants near by. This was a good place to use as a home base.

Very clean and kitsch. Right outside of the West Entrance to Yellowstone. Eateries and shops within walking distance. Good value.

We were greeted by friendly staff/owner. The coupon to the restaurant next door was a bonus too! We had a great time.

Clean, cute, very comfortable beds. Recently remodeled. Not super fancy, but perfect for me. Decent heating/cooling. Excellent, friendly staff. I will definitely stay there again!
