SUMIYA Spa & Hotel

It’s was good. Though we had our own bathroom. It is communal.

Very good location. Good size room. Good service even if limited hours of reception

Property is as described. Very basic but has all you need to sleep and wash. Close to train station.

No problem but front desk closed at 6.m.. It’s ok.

We found out that the room which we booked did not have an en-suite, and we were required to travel to the bottom floor, through the common area, to use a communal shower. This was not clear from the advertising, and we felt that it should have been made clearer. When we explained that we thought we had booked a room with an en-suite, the staff were defensive and showed little compassion after a long day of travel. The cost of upgrading to a room with an en-suite was almost the same cost as the room we had booked, which was not cheap to begin with. The carpet smelled of feet also. Otherwise the room was satisfactory and conveniently located close to the main train station and a short tram/bus ride from thw peace memorial park.

The site does not make it clear that there are NO IN ROOM BATHROOMS. There is a communal sink and toilet. There is a shower on the 1st floor. No business calling themselves a spa. Otherwise nice and clean with a kind staff

Definitely not five star, broken toilet seat small bathroom, but all in all good value for money and great location

Sumiya was lovely. The staff were wonderful and very helpful, the rooms were clean, tidy, and nice to stay in.

Very nice hotel, great staff and good location near Hiroshima Station. It was very quiet and clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Friendly. The lack of staffing was a problem for us though. We added a 2nd night in the only available room but with no one around we had to change plans in order to move later. There should be a way to get a hold of someone.
