Urban Stay Salzburg City

Excellent location. 10 minute walk from the main train station in one direction, 10 minutes from Mirabell Palace in the other

We had reserved parking upon booking but weren’t given the information on where to access the parking. Because we arranged late check in we weren’t able to park on location and had to park elsewhere in the city. We were told it would be the same price as at the hotel but it ended up costing us double.

Nothing fantastic. Okay for short stay. Stairs only. If carrying heavy luggage, avoid going for this.

Convenient to the train station and to all touristic attractions.

Bed mattress fell to the floor, the bed was too old and a screw got off place. The girl at the front desk was great, she was very helpful and professional.

It’s quite a nice hotel in Salzburg. Really close to HBF or old town. However there are no lift and air- con in the hotel.

The front desk staffs were quite friendly and helpful. The room I stayed is right next to the train, it’s impossible to sleep well. The hotel should be aware of this and provide the guests ear plugs. I let the front guy know that the light at my room entrance is not working, he promised that it would be fixed, however after being there 3 nights, no one put any effort to fix it. I had to struggle to find a way to open the door because it was completely dark. Also two days in the roll that the house keeping didn’t provide any toilet papers. There’s no staff after 6pm and I was always back after 8:30pm and always on the road by 6pm. For the price they are charging, no fan, no toilet papers, no lights and with constant train noises; this is not acceptable at all. Though I like the brightness of the room, it does feel comfy, and the location is convenient; what an unfortunate to be next to the train.

It was not a comfortable stay. The hotel looked like a dungeon, a really old spooky apartment building. No elevators, steep stairs to climb up. No air conditioning and no fans, so had to leave window open for some air to come in, hence bugs and loud street noise to deal with. Couldn’t sleep at night. Managed to get a fan next day. There are definitely other better hotels in the area for the same price or less. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful hotel for us. My power converter did not work, so the nice gentleman at the desk gave me two to use for the rest of our trip! The hotel is just a short walk from the Old Town. Would recommend.
