Excellent Brazilian resort hotel

Biggest issue was with hotels.com! I arrived too find the reservation wasn't sent to the hotel. when they tried to call hotels.com they claimed no evidence of reservation even though I had proof. I registered manually.At checkout,I was given a bill despite the fact that I paid. Finally, after extensive discussion and with help from Brazilian family, hotels.com found reservation! This was sloppy by hotels.com and should never have happened. Also, hotels.com should tell customers that if you don't speak Portuguese, you have no ability to communicate as very few staff speak English! This info should be available info during bookings. You should do the research as the booking site! Having said that, the Wish is a beautiful hotel, has a very nice pool and beach, and the staff is extremely nice, polite and tries to be helpful. The breakfast buffet is great and provides a nice selection of the wonderful Brazilian fruit.

The hotel is very good, the staff is well trained and courteous. But there’s a few things that are still missing in order to be a 5 stars hotel, like cleanliness in some areas, like swimming pool bathrooms, restaurant lamps, Botha facades and the pool itself, also the hotel is very dated with no renovations. In my opinion it’s a very good 3 stars resort

Nice stay but take care about concierge “offers”

Excellent stay, friendly staff, nice room, nice view, excellent pool, superb beach, calm, safe and with life guard on duty. However, there is room for improvements, such as: not all breakfast items available on the last 60 to 90 minutes. No replacements, such as types of breads, juices, etc. Some servers are too eager to grab and take away without asking, plates, silverware etc while we are still eating. All this is easily resolved with a comprehensive meeting with staff members. Also, at the inside bar, not all menu item are available after the last 60 min of the opening hours, such as simple things: sandwiches and juices or deserts! The only real serious disappointment is the concierge staff that is very kind (letters, nice msg, smiles, etc) JUST until they find out that the extra packages they try to sell you, are not of your best interest or it doesn’t fit your traveling needs and profiles. After that, no more messages and other kindness gestures.

It was not crowded by other hotels. The gym was sufficient, the pool very nice and a great beach. Not like - my online request for service to the room took 2 days before completing.
