I thought we didn't have hot water at first. Turns out the the knobs were mismatched; C for hot water and H for cold water. This is a bares bones place, but it's peaceful with creek running right behind property.

Rustic retreat

Really nice rustic cabin by the creek. We stayed in the Fort Apache cabin. It does not have ac, but we did not need it. Very clean. Rustic, but very nice. Quiet, right on creek. Perfect if you want to get away from it all. So much to do in and around Cherokee.

I will try to positive about my review. The property itself was ok being that it is the mountains. Due to the rain and my family being out a lot of the time during the day, we did not use the property very much. Although I did see there was a fire pit, a horseshoe layout, and even a grill, we were not able to use either. The views from the cabin, there was not any. There is no control of cell phone service so if you need your phone service, this is not a place for you. I have a big family so having no WiFi was a disappointment as well. There was no board games, card games, or any other games at that in the cabin so it was very hard to keep my children satisfied. My family and I were up in Cherokee for a baseball tournament so not having a washer or dryer at the cabin was a BIG disappointment as well. If any family plans to stay for a few days and need items washed, plan to work around this and also plan to go to the wash house during daylight because they close at dark. My wife and I stayed in the bedroom w the bathroom, let me say she was not pleased with the size of the standup shower. Even at her size (145 lbs), the shower was even too small for her. I literally had to step out the shower just to lather myself up. I would of thought central air would be in the cabin but I was wrong. There is no way that one AC wall unit is suppose to keep the cabin cool. Maybe I'm being wrong for saying this but I paid a little over $1600 for our stay and it was not worth it.

Relaxing cabins in Cherokee

We had the best time. Very relaxing, right on the river. Love sleeping to the sound of the river. This cabin has everything you need. Love the jetted tub. Thanks Panther Cabins!!!!
