Tranquility Bungalows should be avoided

OK, so I'm not a back packer any more and perhaps Sihanoukville is OK for them as they transit out to the islands. For this review I think its important to understand the condition of the city because it cant but help influence opinions about the accommodations. Sihanoukville is horrible, it is a big, noisy, littered, dirty construction zone, covered in debris, dust, discarded plastic and fly blown garbage with sewage running down the main street to the the island ferries pier, the rats are really healthy. The Tranquility Bungalows fit in well to the city; even at the 50% off deal that we got the rooms are just not worth it, better find somewhere else to stay.

Great location but run down， dirty & noisy.

Very disappointed upon arrivial. There is no Presidential Suite and if it was this room...we would hate to see the othets that weren't.The room we booked and paid for had other people in it. I rate this a 1.5 star. Location is great for the ferry，watching the sunset/sunrise but extremely noisy. Wharf bar started about 630pm and was still loud at 6am hence we got no sleep. This place really needs a makeover. Staff were extremely polite and helpful and were embarassed. See my pics. We would not recommend this place to anyone. Rusty fan，mould in bathroom and shower was fifthy. Lock on door broken， door let AC air in (wouldn't close) and safe...pic says it all.

Skip this Dump

A complete dump, didn’t expect much for $30 but if we wanted a $10 night flea bag hotel than we would have booked one. Room was musty and moldy and plumbing in bathroom was atrocious. Bars on windows and a padlock type lock for the door! Would have left immediately if we’d not arrived so late at night and had to catch an early morning ferry. The area around there seemed very seedy. The staff were friendly and nice, not their fault the place is so awful.

Great location, very friendly staff

Only booked one night as we were catching the ferry the following morning. The hotel is in the ideal location, only a minute from the jett, overlooking the beac and just far enough from the music bars to get some sleep! I booked the deluxe room and it was very comfortable.

Great location and accommodations for beachfront.

Upon checking in our room we realized we did not get the accommodations we paid for as shown in photo online. the room we had was ok but washroom was old and shower area was open concept with toilet and not cleaned very well. Upon bringing it to attention of Manager moved us next day when new room available to 3rd floor where accommodations were fabulous (which is what we paid for) and very pleased as that is what we requested in first place. If you leave air conditioning which you would anyways thst will muffle the music we hear till wee hours of morning at bar downstairs. Staff were very gracious and glad our 2nd and 3rd nights were great there.
