Escape from chaos

We enjoyed our four nights staying at this lovely hotel. The amazing sun rising view with birds chirping from our balcony, especially inside the comfy jacuzzi is a plus. Spacious room and everything inside is superb comfy. It’s very delightful to walk thru the well maintained fairytale like garden path to the sea side restaurant and swimming pool. Only downside would be there is nothing much to do outside the hotel. But in general we are superb happy about everything in the hotel, friendly personnel, delicious food, nice holiday vibe. Recommended for people are looking for few nights escaping from the chaos!

Good hotel to stay for family

Room size is very big. It might be because of my reservation is 4 bed rooms for Ruenthai 4 bed rooms. I really like this kind of room as very good for family. Breakfast should be improved if compare with the price and 4 stars hotel. Room amenities should be more taken care such as telephone which is not working and hair dryer which is broken.Location is good along the beach.

Terrible Villa, Wonderful Rooms.

I initially booked the 4 room Villa and when I arrived at Palayana, I was very excited as the lobby of Palayana looked really beautiful like an extremely high end spa resort. However, upon reaching the beautiful reception, I was told that the villa was at another location. Hence, the buggy took our luggages and brought us to the villa about 3 mins away. When we reached the Villa, it looked reasonable from the outside, but when we went in, the condition of the villa didn't feel very good and clean. In fact, it felt quite dusty and the floors felt a little sticky. However, we still accepted the Villa. On the same night, when we were about to take a shower, we realised that there was only intermittent hot water and the water became cold shortly after not to mention many insects. The next morning, when we took a shower, it was only with completely cold water. We then called the engineer to fix it and during then, we went for breakfast and I told the reception that we would like to change the room as the hot water was faulty and the room wasn't very clean. I was then told that I had to pay if I want to change the room. However, after realising that the heater couldn't be fixed, he then offered to exchange our Villa for 4 regular rooms. The regular rooms were much cleaner and very beautiful. We totally enjoyed the stay in the regular rooms.

birds flying above you in your villa, swimming with you, pooping on the sofas and eating your food; cockroach crawling on your table sharing the food with you at the buffet breakfast place in which it took the staff minutes before they took any action; drainage in the villa sucks, took days to acknowledge and admit the problem, never expected myself soaking in yellowish and rusty water in an out-of-order jacuzzil

Just an average resort

Resort has started showing its age, needs a bit of a refresh. Was disappointed with housekeeping staff as adjacent rooms in room meals were left in front of their door for 2 days.
