Great location on hill wth direct beach access

Everything about the hotel was great except be prepared to have mosquitos in your room. Ensure the mosquito net is kept closed a all times and make use of mozzie coils.

Total Bliss.

Great to get away from busy places. From start to finish, our stay was perfect. Staff very professional and friendly. Food was great, lovely setting by the pool, with sea views in background. Position was incredible, we watched the surf at dawn and sunsets..... magical! Rooms were individual and very spacious. I loved the mix of natural materials of stone and wood, and furnishings were well thought out using good quality products. Place was spotlessly clean. We stayed in the big villa, each room has its own private deck and garden area, which is kept Lucius and tidy. 2 big pools, which again kept clean and tidy. Short walk to the beach, where you could watch sunset and enjoy food and drink at beach front shacks. I could not fault anything here. Magical and peaceful.

pure relaxation

chilled - nice pool and good views and beautiful gardens - nice to not be surrounded by screaming kids it felt grown up and it was a great place to go as a couple who just wanted do nothing -

Hygiene to be improved

Really nice food at the restaurant and overall good experience. The room did not look clean. If you move some furniture by mistake, you might end up bringing to light all sorts of archaeological finds. We had a couple with a newborn baby staying in the family loft next to ours: the baby woke up 4 times on that night and so did we. In fact there is just some bamboo wall separating the two rooms. I recommended the receptions to put families with babies in a stand-alone bungalow in the future but they did not look very convinced... The assistant manager offered free dinner to apologise for the inconvenience.

It's a fabulous bungalow with the separate shower surrounded by the exotic plants, very private. A little bit of night noise of cockerels and dogs from the next door village so I would recommend to use the earplugs, or just book a Standard bungalow No 7 or 8 - they are in the quieter area of the resort. The staff was trying to make our stay as comfortable as possible and offered complimentary service while we were there. The swimming pools are lovely and the food in the restaurant is very tasty and not overpriced at all.

Very intimate resort, away from the hustle of the main areas of Bali but still close to the airport. Great access to the beach, chilled feel and great staff.

4 star with lovely gardens - could do with work

La Joya overall is a lovely spot, where you feel right in tune with nature. The hotel requires a few improvements, namely the beds could be more comfortable with newer and better quality bedding, and it could do with having a gym on site. In addition, at the end of the trip we went through the bill, found a genuine mistake (someone else charging their meal to us) and were severely questioned about it (not the customer is always right), making us 20 minutes late for the airport and adding quite a bit of additional stress right at the end of the stay, and we were then stuck in traffic and very late for the airport. That being said, if you want a few days out of the hustle and bustle of a city life, it is a wonderful sport with beautiful gardens, and the staff try very hard to make your stay nice. It is a good 4 star place.

We stayed one night but wish we stayed longer. Staff were cordial and friendly, and even though they were fully booked, they accommodated us in their large suite after checkout so I could dial into a a few meetings over WiFi until 2:30. They were happy to hold our luggage until we came back that evening after exploring.

We really enjoyed our 7 night stay at La Joya! Breakfast was really good & you can add extras if you aren’t full from what’s included. The staff were always very attentive & welcoming. The resort wasn’t too busy which meant our stay was fairly relaxed, we stayed in room 20 which meant we had neighbours. Unfortunately the doors aren’t sound proof so it meant being woken by some inconsiderate neighbors most mornings - if we were to return I’d choose a bungalow by itself. Our room was classed as delux it was perfect & had a large garden, my only criticism would be the toilet which was separate to the shower & sink - it did not flush well at all & you’d find yourself having to flush several times. Lunch & dinner were chosen from the same menu which was good, food & drinks were a little pricey but to be expected in a nice resort. We also spent a day at the sister resort La Joya Biu Biu which was equally as good & would definitely return to both resorts!
