Old Killarney Cottages

Freezer door was broken as well as the Washer/Dryer. Other than that it was a great value.

So disappointed with our stay. The house was filthy and run down. And part of the hon exploded narrowly missing one of my children.

Perfect family accommodation. It met all of our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the venue to friends.

This is not somewhere I would stay again. Too old fashioned with appliances and water heating . It looks nice on the outside and inside, is clean and spacious and comfortable, but there were cigarette butts around the cottage both front and back that looked untidy. The area is nice and quiet but close enough to town for eating. The water heating device only worked a little of the time so hot showers were occasional, and there were no written instructions to tell how to operate this thing. The combination washer dryer was another device to figure out as it had to be programmed all at one time, so first load took 2 hours to wash! Again no written instructions. Just those little bits of help could have made life easier and more pleasant. The manager lived couple blocks away and there was no phone to call him .First night there was no electricity in one bedroom which he did fix second day as we stopped on way out to inform him. And this after he took a deposit for electricity, who does this ? ! Hesitated to use dishwasher after other things were so complicated, but I cannot in good faith recommend this cottage to anyone else staying in this area.

Cottage had a nice thatched roof look well from outside, inside paintwork was good but really needed kitchen and bathrooms upgraded

great price for the space and features. Location was perfect, and the folks at the Old Village in were warm and welcoming.

Property needs a major upgrade. When we go there we had to pay an additional €6 a night for electricity. Never have I ever had to do that before. The guy checking us in then showed how to use the heater that was in the bathroom on an old box in his hand. Need not have bothered heating is on a timer and only kicks in then. There were five of us in an 8 person cottage. Every morning about two people had a hot shower, two had a warm one and that was it. Stone cold after that. Damp and a hole in the ceiling in one room. Carpets need pulling up and throwing. I am sure they could probably walk out themselves. It is a shame as the concept is great. Just needs some TLC. Good area. Nice pub onsite.
